My kitten is 4 months old and my cat is 9 years old. He keeps eating my cat's food, I guess he doesn't like his Science Diet kitty food. Is it too soon to give him regular adult food? I don't want to do it, but is it harmful?
Thanks! :)

On the webbing of my cat's paws, it's dark brown/black. We initially thought it was an infected wound and brought him to the vet for it. It never went away, but doesn't seem to bother him. Now it has spread to another paw, so I'm assuming it's some sort of fungus. The vet reccommended we treat the paws with Lamisil. Has anyone else had this problem with their cat?

whenever my cat and the neighborhood stray get in a fight, the stray always whoops up on my baby and my baby always backs down. My baby is bigger and stronger than the stray but he always gets beaten. My baby's always been the dominant one, til this stray came alnog. How can I get rid of the stray when we have no pound and I can't find it in my cat loving heart to shoot it?

I know Hemmingway thought that 6-toed cats were lucky, so what are 7-toed cats?

I ask because I just got a beautifull kitten with 7 toes on both his front paws and want to find any meaning/superstition regarding it so I can come up with a suitable name for him.

We have a female cat ~7 years old who we would like to find a new home for. Our oldest son has an allergy to cats. She is spayed and de-clawed.

We live in the Houston, TX area if that opens any other possibilities...

No, we aren't going to euthanize her.

Ok, well I have three cats.
Patches-the boss,
Rocky-in the middle, and
Bobby, at the bottom.
Rocky and Bobby are brothers. Those two play fight all the time, but Patches, I thought was starting to play with Rocky, but he just lays on his back and makes those cooing noises while she jumps on him and stuff. We all know shes the boss, so why is she doing this? Is she asserting her position, is Rocky threatning her superiority, or is she just being a bully? Theres no hissing or fluffed up tails or anything. I've had the two brothers for two years now. Serious answers only please......

I have two kittens that are 5 months old. A boy and a girl, best friends.

Since about a month ago they have been sitting at the doors waiting for a chance to get outside. I have been scared to let them out considering that they might get hit by a car or run off.

But I finally gave in and let them out yesterday. And they loved it, I mean loved it!!! They stayed in the yard played the whole day. I even left for about an hour and when I came back still there on the front porch playing.

But my concern is at night, leaving them out.
Is that going to be ok?
Where would they sleep at?
Will they get into trouble?
Or will they run off?

Please help me with my concerns, they didn't want to come back into the house so I am considering letting them stay out more and possibly at night, considering this seems like that is what they are wanting. And the main concern of mine is there age, 5 months.

Thank you.

We found a cat in our bushes and we left the door open so she could leave if she wanted to go home and she left but then we found her in our bushes again. What should we do??

I really don't want to take the cat to the pound or whatever I don't want it to be put down and it is just a baby.

I want it to be safe.

Is it right to give it away if we can't find the owners??

My darling cat loves to sit by the windows and whenever one is left open downstairs she darts right on out. She's the first cat I've had so I'm worried that if I leave an upstairs window open she'll wonder out and then think she can make it to the ground. Is this a possibilty or would she be smart enough to know better?

Unfortunately our kitten passed away friday after only having her a few weeks but i had a blast with watching her run around and my son really got a kick out of her too, and I think we should get another one however my husband says that its not a good idea, I think he's afraid that if something were to happen to this one he would have to see me cry again, would it be wrong to get a kitten shortly after losing this one? How do I get him to agree that getting another would be therapeutic?

...but I cant stop thinking that I chose to do the wrong thing. I have a one year old, got a kitten 3 weeks ago. I loved this kitten, it was so calm & funny to watch etc.. anyways the bad news is that we have a rocker recliner & some time during the course of the day friday this kitten must of crawled up inside and when one of us went to rock our baby to sleep the kitten ended up paying the ultimate price. So on goes the story that I kept thinking that the kitten must have ran out the back door when I opened it to let the dogs out because I hadnt seen it in a few hours until aroung 930 pm when I lifted the chair & found it. unfortunately it was not dead but suffering severely with a crushed skull, (im sorry to anyone reading this, I hate to even say it) so of course I cant find ANY vet at that time & after 45 minutes of trying to call someone and seeing this thing suffer I had to let my husband "take care of it" And I cant get it out of my head, I havent slept good, I feel so bad!!
