I prefer cats. I enjoy an animal that is independent and not needy. Dogs are too dependent on human contact, they cling. Cats come around when they feel like attention and then do their own thing, they're not under foot.
Besides that, cats have a grace about them when they move, they are (pardon my cliche) poetry in motion. The are beautiful creatures who, when you look them in they eyes, it almost seems like they know more about the world than you do.

I know that cats are usually cute and cuddley but I think I like dogs better than cats. Its kinda hard to explain but I thing Dogs are more calm than cats and the last thing anybody needs is a cat hissing at you every time you walk past it!
P.S. thats what my cat does!

I like cats and dogs but I like cats better because they are not as dependent on you. They are cleaner too and don't smell bad and do their business in a litter box so you don't have to walk them. Cats are so much easier in every way and they give you lots of love even if it's mostly on their terms. I respect that.

Dogs. I'm allergic to cats and besides they are very annoing and not as lovable. I would rather hug a dog instead of a cat. Can you take cats on walks and play with a frisbee, NO.

I like Dogs better because they are more playful and I am not as alergic to dogs than cats. Dogs are more fun to have.

Dogs are more protective than cats atleast i think so. But i like dogs more because i can swim with mine.
