I'm afraid to leave my house now. God knows what he would do, he's soooooooooooo WILD!!!!!!!! lol!!

Since a normal cat sleeping duration is 16hrs and mine is awake all night when I'm home, I'm betting she was sleeping all day.
But if you're talking about more than a couple of days, they must have been learning to open food cans after checking in the trashcans because they were starving. If you're going to be away for a few days, you must arrange for someone to feed and check up on them daily. The caregiver can then let you know if something's wrong.

Well, i agree the cats can go crazy and have a party when you're gone, because i have come home to many messes, most of it is the cats running around the house chasing one another. Couch pillows all over the floor, the runner on my entertainment center all over on one side, fishbowl almost knocked over, etc....do your cat's run around like that when you're home? Cuz mine do. The funnies thing that happened one day is that my mom was visiting and i stepped out to go pick up my daughter and my mom stayed at my house and waited, but i closed the door behind me when i was leaving. My mom said as soon as i left, the cats went crazy and started running around and messing with my plants.

Kitty parties, I'm sure! Check it out: http://www.readthewriter.com/images/Milk.jpg
Actually, I just got back from 2 weeks of vacation and wondered if I would have a house left since I just got a new 2-year-old cat about 2 weeks before I left, but evidently the two 12-year-old ones kept him in line pretty much.

dammmn. wow talk about the parents leaving home and kittens partying.
well i'd like to think my cat doesn't do much other than her usual routine of sleeping around all day. but i have a feeling at night she secretly jumps in the bathtub, climbs on the kitchen counters, and uses our carpet as a scratching post. bascially everything we tell her not to do.

he either sleeps, pester the birds, knock my perfume bottles over, eat the lunch i accidentally left out, drink out of the toilet, terrorize my little sisters degu's(small gerbilish critters), scratch the old sofas, scatch the new sofas, chew holes in my clothes, kill my brothers shoe laces and hides them, poke holes in my flip-flops, tear open all the Always pads under my bed and spread them everywere. Mostly he sleeps, but he like to surprise us from time to time, and he never does somthing more than twice a week, he like to keep a veriety just so we wont get bored.

I think my cat goes a little nuts. I think he worries that we're never coming back because when we leave for more than a couple days we come back and it appears as though he doesn't bathe, he has mats in his fur and is greasy and kind of wild looking. But within a day of us returning he bathes and goes back to normal.

I am almost sure my cat sits in the recliner and watches tv. Because every time I come home, my tv is turned to Animal Planet. I think he might be smoking too.

they got mad at you cuz you left them!!! that's their way of showing it---My cats mostly sleep when we are gone but if they are out of food or water they drag their bowls into the middle of the floor so you practically step on them. Cats are funny animals!
