is my cat old or not use to the hot weather, or is he sick?

my cat is laying around more than usual and he's also laying in different spots too but he has a scratch on his cheek and it has been healed and it opening up but the vet said that's also a sign if he has FIP he's 5 or 6 years old so i'm worried if he has that

also we gave him medications and it looked healed but i think he scratches it when it's finally getting healed

FIP is more commonly a problem in younger cats. If he had a scratch that turned into an abscess it may have looked healed at first and then burst out. If there's any pus weeping out of the wound I'd take him to the vet and get some antibiotics, this could be making him feel more ill. If he's a long-haired cat it could just be the heat, but if you're worried I'd say go to the vet- it's better to be safe than sorry.

Your cat is not well. Find another vet. The life expectancy of a cat that is outdoors is about 5 years. Indoors they can lived to be in the teens. My cat died at 13 1/2 years old. When they lay around and don't heal well they are sick.

FIP is more common in younger cats...if ur cat is older ..yes the heat will bother him...take him back to the vet for antibiotics .
