Please call the vet and tell him this. Your cat is seriously sick. 5 days is a LONG time for him. He can get seriously dehydrated. If your vet says its OK then go ahead and wait, but I would at least call the vet. They can instruct you what to do, and maybe have you save a stool sample prior to coming in. Throwing up worms means that its already progressed to a dangerous level. I don't think he can wait 5 more days. That's extremely unhealthy. If you cannot afford the vet visit than you should not own 2 cats.

And for everyone who says they let their cat continue to do this, SHAME ON YOU! Would you let your child do that? You let your cat sit in misery for days, even a month? That is horrible! Give your cat to someone who actually cares about animals instead of someone who wanted a toy to play with. Your cat is sick and needs medical attention. The cat just needs to be de-wormed and will be fine once they get the medication. For those who let their cat stay sick, I hope they ruined a rug or two.

I got two cats that were found on the street at 3 months old, approx. The little one ended up throwing up and there were worms in it. He did this a couple times till I called the lady who rescued them. It just means his stomach is a little more sensitive, and there was quite a build up of them. Waiting to go to the vet will be fine, I've been there, no worries! Its gross, but the second you get the medication, he will never do it again.

Once he is treated he will be fine.

If he throws up worms again, I would take him straight to the vet just as a percaution as I haven't seen or heard of this before.

The link below gives information about worms, treatment and most importantly prevention so you can decrease the risk of little Sampson being reinfected.

Hope this helps.

When I got my cats 2 years ago 1 of them had worms but I didn't know it. They gave both of them a pill to take. Worked like a dream. I have no idea how long he had worms because I got the cats on a Friday and took them to the vet Monday for a check up. (I got them free from the paper) My guess is that your cat will be fine until Saturday. When you made the appt. did you tell them about the worms?

You may be able to buy a worming tablet from the vet without having to make an appointment. You may need to take the kittens with you to get their weights right. They both need worming every two weeks.

I would take him in sooner. He is already throwing them up. Call the Vet and see if you can get it taken care of now. Just imagine if it were you, would you want to wait five more days? The longer they are there the worse it gets. He might be bigger because he is full of worms. And take them both since they are brothers and live together.

Just make sure that they have plenty of water. If it gets worse then call your vet back and tell them you need to be seen ASAP. They usually take pets first who are need of it then others. If you tell them its a emergency they should book you right away. Sorry to hear about that, just watch what they eat and make sure they are keeping down food.

If you told the vet all this and he still said it was ok to wait, then I'd say yeah, if you didn't tell him the problem I'd call back.
