I've owned this cat since it was born (Cupcake). At first she was living with my girlfriend and I at her mom's house. Well, I got kicked out and so did Cupcake. I can't bring her to my house because my mom is allergic to cats. I don't want to get rid of her. That's out of the question. My girlfriend tells me to just let her go. She's jealous because I give Cupcake more attention than her. Cuppy follows me everywhere and I always hear her crying for me at night, but I can't let her in. I want to move out to my own place, but that will take a while due to financial problems. What can I do with Cupcake until I do have enough to move out?

he sees the vet regulary and is up to date on all of his shots. I have had him dewormed and asked the vet to help. he suggested getting a different cat food, one more specific to his age. i tried this to no avail. i have also tried giving him canned cat food and treats. he eats a little and then turns his nose up at it. he has lost two pounds in the past year. he weighed 10 and is now down to 8 he is a very tall cat and he looks emaciated . is there something that i could try? I have two dogs and another cat that are all doing fine.

My kitten is about four to five months old. She got attached to my mother and doesn't care for anyone else. The problem is my mother has been here temporary. She lives far away and won't be taking the kitten. My mother and kitten just happened to arrive at the same time. I do attempt to play and hold the kitten but she wants nothing of it except from my mother. I'm very worried about her happiness when my mother leaves. What can be done to help my kitten be happy when my mother is gone? Should I force her to be in different rooms a little at a time? But she does not warm up to me. It is impossible for her to go with my mother. Also, my dog who is fourteen years old has lymphomia and I think he will pass soon. The kitten's lukewarm with him-the best relationship besides with my mother. She's so young and you can see loves my mother. Thank you for advice.

I recently changed my cats food from the walmart "special kitty" small cans of cat food to the big cans-still same flavor...my question is she has the runs when she poops, she still uses her litter box but also she goes "poppey" in either bathrooms or in my livivng room behind the couch....im just not sure if its from me changeing the food*even though its same flavor smaller can chaged to larger can* and she has been eating alot lately too? Could she possibly have some kind of worms? or would i have to take her to the vet? any answers greatly appreciated.

I am moving from Southern to Northern California next week, it's about a 7 hour drive. I am taking my two cats with me in my car. I am not worried about my younger one year old cat, but I am worried about the stress it may cause to my 16 year old cat. He is in good health, but has always been stressed out by car rides. I heard that I should take short car trips the week prior with him, so he see's that it will be okay. Do you have any tips on long car trips? Have you driven long distances with an older cat? Do you think I should visit a vet before I go? I am a student (moving to a new school) so I am trying to avoid costly vet bills. I'm also worried about the excessive heat we've been experiencing, any other ways besides the A/C to keep them cool in their cages? Does someone make a fan for their cages or something(Iw ould of course have the A/C on as well)? So any tips are appreciated.

I have a new turkish angora cat am going to pick up tommorow. What brand of cat food do you feed your cat. It cant be exsesively expensive like science diet or royal canin. Sumthing you can buy in your local supermarket or pet store. Not too cheap like a savon osco brand or FMV, or Pet Pride. What were your results from the cat food.

Besides petting them or holding them, is there any other way to show a cat that you care for them? Obviously kissing them won't do any good because they don't know what the hell you are doing.

Its disturbing the attitude that I have encountered toward vets and the recommendation of science diet food(only one of many) Vets ARE indeed trained and consistently educated in nutrition(sheesh its one of the MAJOR aspects of medicine) so where some of you get the impression that they are not..you need to research. Science diet is not crap and vets(at least the several that I have worked with) dont get the huge reward that you think for recommending science diet (again, one of many) Ive been a tech for years and we are CONSTANTLY receiving continuing education in nutrition from veterinary medical associations and brands arent mentioned unless specifically asked about. Research about nutrients, not the ingredients. They only deliver. Its insulting that anyone would imply that someone in my profession would push a food for monetary benefit(or free pens). I didnt go into this business for wealth and anyone who researchs veterinary medicine, including your average DVM degree, would agree
