She only threw-up once so far. Is she all right or do I need to be concerned? Also she is in heat for the first time and sho has an appointment Wed. to get neutered. Could it be her being in heat?

my cat pukes up orange stuff almost once a week, it could b something it ate that just didn't go with her tummy. My cat eats ribbon & earplugs so thats why he pukes. She should be ok til u take her to get fixed, but if are concerned trust ur gut & take her in. In the heat make sure she has water & is in a cool place, my cat pants just with a little heat & i panic! Good luck, hope ur cat is well!

if your cat is a girl it gets spayed if it is a boy it gets neutered so is it a boy or a girl? If the cat only threw up once nothing to worry but if it keeps happening then take her in or at least call the vet. Being in heat for the first time shouldn't have anything to do with it. Good luck!

I have one question. You say that your cat is in heat, but you are taking it to get neutered. When you take a cat to get neutered the cat is a male. When a cat is in heat it is a female. Either way, I would call your vet, and describe the effects. They should tell you the urgency of the problem.

It's best to ask a vet. Give the full particulars, e.g. age, food, living environment, vaccinations (if wasn't given by your vet). Also check if she has access to poisons like cleaning detergents or plants poisonous to cats, e.g. chrysanthemum & poinsettia.

If it continues, please call your vet. It could just be that the food is too rich or does not agree with her. If so, ask the vet about a good cat food. I feed my kitty Purina One, and no more "urping" anymore. Its easier to digest and better for her.

bleah, you may not need to be concerned if it doesn't continue. What color is your cat food? Maybe your cat ate something funky, if she's gotten it out of her system she'll probably be fine. Ask AJCatDr@aol.com she will know. She's a specialist, a great cat veternarian.

Eeewww, take her to the vet, that doesn't sound good. She could have licked up anti-freeze or something. Cats have been known to drink that, it smells sweet to them.

it could be her food, or a hairball. But you should tell the vet so they don't complete a surgery on a sick animal, because it could worsen the problem if there is one.
