i found a stray cat in my buildings stair way. she's pretty young and has been there for about 2-3 days.i'm pretty sure she was abondened cause if her owners wanted her they would have put up stuff saying they lost their cat but it's ben 3 days people just walk past her and dont pay any mind to her. i don't want her to have to stay there all night with nothing to eat. i gave her food(was that dumb) and she won't eat it. my biggest fear is someone opening the door letting her out into the real world. help please?!!?!?!

The dog, Sally, is a 12 year old shepherd mix. Whenever I come home to visit my parents I see her tied outside, dirty, tired, (and depending on the weather) cold and wet. She is starting to have hip problems and she can hardly control her bladder. My family, as it seems, is too preoccupied with themselves to care for Sally beyond feeding and occasionally walking. They don't like having her inside because 1) they live in a small house and 2) they don't like the mess she leaves behind. I don't necessarily think Sally is treated terribly; I think my parents are not responsible or caring enough. I want Sally to be happy and healthy but I think accusing my family of being irresponsible to provoke changes is the wrong move. Any suggestion for what I should do? I personally can't support Sally, but I want to help her condition.

I see so many people with protective masks on walking with their Horses and Dogs.Kinda selfish to not protect helpless animals too.

do you go to the dog park with your dog and if so do you watch it or talk to the other dog owners?
what do you do if your dog starts growling /snarling / biting another dog? do you let them sort it out or do you take your dog away?

I know that dogs eat grass when they have a sick stomach, but BOTH of my dogs eat it alllll the time..and they don't throw up. They eat it like a treat. My son feeds it to them like they are horses.....
Any ideas what this is all about??

Largemale dog. all of a sudden he lost control of his hind legs. He got weaker and after 2 days died. I remembered that 2 months ago my sister who lives 8 miles away had 2 dogs that did the same thing. One of them died, the other one is still alive but drags her hind legs and it is painful for her to move. Could this have anything to do with the tainted dogfood?

Jeezo. The old saying "If it wasn't comfortable, he wouldn't sleep like that..." springs to mind.

Yup, my thick-as-mince Chocolate Aussie lab has found a new place to sleep. It's gone on now for about a solid week, and it was my fault for leaving the door open. The bathroom door that is...

Could I find the dog when I came home? No. Where was he first time around? SLEEPING IN THE BATH! I kid you not!

At first I thought it was just him larking around, but I've followed him upstairs on many an occasion now, just to stand and watch him jump into the bath (empty by the way), and lay flat out. 10 minutes pass, and he flips onto his back fully stretched, snoring his head off and rear legs set at quarter to 3! He even gets up in the middle of the night (leaving MY comfy bed) to go sleep surrounded by cold plastic. I know dogs can sleep anywhere, but again..Jeez!

Just thought I'd share that with y'all. I'll look for the K9 psychiatrists phone number first thing tomorrow.

My cat (20 years old) all of a sudden started to pee and poop in a corner in my bedroom. She has never, never done this. Before this started my dog would go over to the same corner and start rubbing her body in that corner like she was getting high or something? Then I found a bunch of dead flying ants in this corner?!!! We moved into this house 3 weeks ago, and this just started. HELP!!!
WHat is going on!

Okay, i know people are going to say that i cant have any other fish in a 10 gallon tank with my beta. but i know from experience that i can have some. i was looking for some unique and different fishes and came across a Black Ghost Knife fish. they are cool looking but i was wondering if i can put one in with my beta. i doubt it, that i can. but i still would like to ask. and the same thing goes for any bala sharks. i'd like to put some in there but i doubt i can. any links or info you can provide for a good exotic tank mate for him would be appreciated.

No matter what I do to show him that it is wrong he continues to do it. I don't know if it is something with the smell of them or what.

How many of us would be this exuberant after a debilitating accident like this one?

Who else thinks that dogs love their lives more than people and maybe even more than any other animal?

Would you have given this dog a chance?

Would you adopt a dog with this kind of 'handicap'?

Thoughts, please, as always, thanks...

When buying a dog, which sex do you perfer to get, a male or a female? Which is easier to house break? Or just a better dog to have? I know all dogs have their own personality, depending on the breed and what not, but if you had a litter or puppies in front of you, and got told to pick one, would you take a male or a female? Thank you!

I really like jellyfish, the way they move, the way they look and I would really like one as a pet.

I have a pure black cat named Wolfgang. I love him dearly. He's an in-out cat, who spends part of his day hanging around the neighborhood. And no, he doesn't kill birds, except maybe in his dreams.

This is a very Halloweenie town, and not small or close-knit. I'm quite frightened of letting him out.

Will he get picked up and used in Satanic rituals or to dress up someone's party?

Of course, he's bothering me to go out so much right now that it's tempting . . .

He says "Hi" to your cats.

My puppy has fleas very very bad and the vet said they have a pill that you give them and within 30 minutes the fleas fall off. Has anyone ever heard of this?? I want to get some opinions before I use it.

3 weeks ago we got a kitten and had already decided that we want to get another one for him to play with. We have the 2nd one now and I don't know what would be a good way to get them to mix with each other because the 1st one has become a little territorial and I'm worried that he might hurt the new kitten. Has anyone got any good ideas how I can do this? We have tried putting them together but the older kitten just ends up pouncing on the new one.
