*HUG*
Losing is a pet is so hard. My heart goes out to you. I am glad you have another one to love, though. Take comfort in the one you have, and when you are ready, perhaps consider another.
As for school, it is probably a good idea to go. I am sure most people will be sensitive to your pain. They will probably even understand if some tears are shed. It may be good for you to have the support of your friends, and it may serve as a good distraction.
My best to you.

I know just how you feel. It's hard for other people to understand how terribly sad it is when we lose our little friends, especially because not to many people have ever had a pet rat. My life stops whenever one of my pets die and it's very hard to get back into the normal routine. I've even told people that I was crying because a family member or loved one died because everyone can relate to that and then they might know how I was really feeling.
Losing a pet can be harder than some people realize. When my cat, who I had since I was 7 years old, died I actually went into a very severe clinical depression. My doctors actually put me on medication (which only made it worse but that's beside the point).
So the fact is, it's very hard to accept and cope with BUT you're going to be okay. Just remember that they do have shorter lives than us and as long as we can keep them happy while they're alive we've done the best thing. I even still talk about my deceased rats in the present, like I'll say "Templeton is so cute" because I don't want to remind myself all the time that he is gone. I loved him but when he died my love for him didn't go away so I'll say I love him.
It's more important to recognize their lives than to recognize their death. So be happy that Peach is a part of your life and give her sister lots of extra love.

I have 2 hairless ratties and one of thems name is Peaches. I am sorry for your loss. I hope you will continue to love and hold the other one so she doesn't get lonely with the loss of Peach. Sometimes other pets will get lonely and miss the one who passed and then stop living because they get depressed. Just remember you have her and keep loving her. The one who said it helps to get another one is right it will help both you and the other one to have the new companion.

I'm sorry your rat died. I had a rat (named Ratty) when I was a kid and it chewed a big hunk of curtain with fiberglass fibers in it and died. I was really sad for a while. Your other rat will comfort you, and will probably wiggle it's whiskers too.

aw i just had my hamster die yesterday and i got another one too. No one will bring it up if u tell them ur sore on the subject. and i like going to school when im sad because my friends distract me from it and i forget about it and it will only come to memory once in a while. because if u stay home your just going to dwell on it the whole day.

Remember that everything has to die, atleast your rat was loved. Try not to think about it and carry on caring for your other rat.
