How many of us would be this exuberant after a debilitating accident like this one?

Who else thinks that dogs love their lives more than people and maybe even more than any other animal?

Would you have given this dog a chance?

Would you adopt a dog with this kind of 'handicap'?

Thoughts, please, as always, thanks...

Nia- I asked if you think animals love life more than humans and if handicapped animals like this one show it.

I also asked if you would adopt a dog like this.

I thought the question was fairly clearly worded...

my new girl Ruby was thrown from a minivan and hit by another car a month and a half ago her owner, a very close friend, died of a brain anurism 3 weeks ago and im paying all the vet bills, I said from day one that if the dog needed a damn doggy wheelchair that's what she whould get. I dont care if she ever walks right again, as long as she's happy and healthy I'm ok with that. She's only 2yrs old and the sweetest prettiest girl and I just cant bear to put her down. So she'll be a cripple, a happy sweet outgoing cripple but who cares? I sure dont.

What an awesome dog! Amazing and unbelievable. He runs around like any other dog with 4 legs!!! I never would have believed it if I didn't see it.

I agree...dogs love unconditionally and are happy as long as they are loved and can run, play, eat well and have companionship. I would have given the dog this chance if I was told that he could live a normal life like this dog does. Yes, I would adopt a dog with this sort of handicap as well. He seems like a great dog...lots of personality and energy. He is adorable! Two legs would not stop me from adopting a dog with this handicap.

I think the difference is dogs don't know that they are handicapped. Humans know that something is wrong and feel sorry for themselves, or mentally slow down because they think that is just what happens. Dogs don't do that. They get up and keep going the best they can.
I think animals are amazing and this proves it.
Would I adopt an animal like that? Yup, in a heartbeat. I have a soft spot for the lame ducks.

I wouldn't give it a second thought. The dog would be home with me in a minute!!
I have a heart for animals and I would give the dog the best home it could possibly have.
I have a heart for people and animals who have a handicap.

Add on: I was going to say as well. We don't think about not being able to walk unless it actually happens. We take the fact that we can walk forgranted unless we lose mobility.
People who lose mobility have a really hard time accepting that.
You have to rely on other people to take you places and it is really devastating.
You feel like you are no longer free. You can't just run out your door and jump in your car and go anymore.
It really takes a toll on you.
My grandmother lost mobility and she kept her car until she passed away. She still had hopes that she would be able to drive one day. Sadly that never happened.

Really the dogs in the video are a testament about how we should look at life even when we are thrown a curve ball. Even with all the negative things that happen to them they still offer unconditional love and companionship. They still remain positive and optimistic about life.

All animals have this instinct to survive including humans. Exuberant after this kind of accident I think I would be as I love my life nothing would keep me down. I think we are on equal par with what loves life more. I would have certainly given the dog a second chance. Yes adopting a dog with this kind of hanicap would be no problem at all.

I gave a dog called snoopy a loving home through my work I'm a veterinary nurse for the uks largest animal charity the rspca he has three legs he was run over and had to have his leg amputated no one wanted him and i fell in love with him and adopted him.
i also have a dog that had his tail cut off and was tied to a fence and left to die i took him home with me and adopted him to.
i would give any animal a home whether they are three legged ,blind death,or have problems,i have such a love for animals and don't look at the fact they have legs or even ears missing ii look at personality ,
