Jeezo. The old saying "If it wasn't comfortable, he wouldn't sleep like that..." springs to mind.

Yup, my thick-as-mince Chocolate Aussie lab has found a new place to sleep. It's gone on now for about a solid week, and it was my fault for leaving the door open. The bathroom door that is...

Could I find the dog when I came home? No. Where was he first time around? SLEEPING IN THE BATH! I kid you not!

At first I thought it was just him larking around, but I've followed him upstairs on many an occasion now, just to stand and watch him jump into the bath (empty by the way), and lay flat out. 10 minutes pass, and he flips onto his back fully stretched, snoring his head off and rear legs set at quarter to 3! He even gets up in the middle of the night (leaving MY comfy bed) to go sleep surrounded by cold plastic. I know dogs can sleep anywhere, but again..Jeez!

Just thought I'd share that with y'all. I'll look for the K9 psychiatrists phone number first thing tomorrow.

Sarah K and Brown boy.....

SK: No I haven't the heart to wake him as he seems comfy!? BB: He has the run of the house to sleep anywhere, and sometimes shares the cats bed - cats own single duvet no less!

Regarding the overheating...HEAT? what's that? This house is so cold at times I could take something outa the freezer to defrost n' the damn thing would still be solid a week later...Arf! Arf!

Still, if he's happy, then I'm happy.

Thanx 2all that reply.

That is just so cute! I also have a stupid Lab - he has a quilt and a dog bed to sleep on, the cat kicks him out frequently! Funny to see!

he also likes to air his bits on a daily basis - lies flat out legs akimbo showing all & sundry! I have not the heart to tell him that the vet kinda took the most important bits away!

My Yorkie used to jump into the bath when the water was in there! I often bathed with a Yorkie on my knee and many is the time I would get my daughter ready in a morning, and before I could pull out the bath plug, the dog was scrambling over the side looking like a drowned rat! He jumped in the Xmas tree too - one year I had to re-dress the damned thing 3 times!

It's funny you should say that dogs find stupid places to sleep my b itch did one of the most stupides things emaginable with her 1 week old puppys. My mother left to door to the linen cupboard open one night it is piled over 2 1/2 ft high with blankets etc and did look very unstable kinda like a blanket mountain. Anyway I heard a commosion and went to investigte I saw Lilly on top of the pile with it wabbling all over the place and she had a puppy pearched on top of it, lickily she didn't drop it and I got there in time but of all places to put the damn things!! Luckily she hasn't tried doing it since lol!

Your mom does not particularly no how old you're. it would be diverse in the united kingdom even in spite of the undeniable fact that there is way less faith here so our values are slightly greater sane. yet intercourse isn't some forbidden taboo here even whilst it consists of mothers and dads information it, so i don't be conscious of why your mom is overreacting as she is. on the age of 20 you're surely the right age. in case you adore this guy or woman then perhaps you may desire to flow in whilst your waiting, in different words get a job to pay 0.5 the hire and that i'm specific he will settle for you.

I didn't get to fold the laundry one day and I was looking around the house and found one of my dogs sleeping on the pile of laundry.
It was just so adorable I had to take a picture.
LOL

You would not catch my dog sleeping on cold hard plastic. He is a wimp. He has to have the softest bed in the house or he will scream all night.

One of my cats can usually be found sleeping in the bathroom sink. Maybe they would be a good pair for each other since they share similar interests.

i too have a choc lab and i can picture the way your dog sleeps as mine sleeps in exactly the same position, only not in the bath!!! Maybe your house is too warm for him and he cools down in the cold plastic of the bath????

He's probably overheated in your house and trying to find a cold place to sleep. I know my cats will sleep in the bathroom when the house is overly warm because the tile is cool.
