I found this snake in the wild, and it readily crawled around me and my friends that day. The next day, I purchase some frozen pinkies from a pet store and thawed one. I tried to get him to strike and take the warm, thawed pinkie, but he would not take it from my hand. A few hours later, I noticed that he had consumed the pinkie. I was impressed, as, again, this baby had just been caught the day before!! However, for the past 2 days since he has eaten, he has stayed in his burrow abd stayed sort of semi-coiled. Is this normal after a young snake has consumed food? Again, I was very impressed at how soon he ate after just be subdued to captivity. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I do not want anything to happen to this beautiful baby reptile!!

i recently got two 9 week old female rats (they were 8 1/2 weeks when i got them) for my 12th birthday. mines name is Ozzy (after ozzy osbourne) because i had a male rat named ozzy and the next day i found out he had mites so i carried on the name. i want to know how i can teach her her name, ive tried calling her with a treat in my hands which sometimes works, and when i hold her ill say "hi ozzy!" softly and i say hi ozzy when i pass her cage. are there any other ways that i can teach her? how old should she be before i bathe her and clip her nails? thanks alot!

Last night after my 3 1/2 month old puppy pooped, I noticed a long skinny worm wiggling in her poop when I went to go clean it up. It was less than an inch long. About 2 1/2 weeks ago she just went to the vet to get vaccinated and she got a dose of dewormer medicine and took a heartworm pill. While there the vet assistant said it was going to be normal to see dead "rice" looking worms when she poops, but she didn't say anything about long, skinny ones that were alive. Is this part of the deworming process? Not until now have I seen worms in her poop. She has another vet appointment in 1 1/2 weeks where I have to bring in a sample of her poop. Should I just wait until then to tell them about it or should I let them know asap?

After reading horrible things about Science Diet, I have decided to switch my two dogs to a better quality food. Out of Canidae, Wellness, and Innova- which one would you recommend to be the best? Please only answer if you have tried these brands on your dogs.
Thanks for your help.

I got a betta fish the other day. It is female [atleast what the PetSmart container said] And it is so small. I mean, small. it is one inch long [head to tail] And it is almost see through [its white with red tail] Is this a baby or just a small betta?

I have had about 7 bettas in the past but never seen one this small.

For christimas I'm getting a Beta female, (hopefully purple) and I'd like to know if just a plain glass fish bowl would work? my friends tell me that you have to clean it a lot more if it's not filtered. Is this true?

This is probably a silly question, but just recently my tropical fish have had long trails of waste attached as they swim about. They don't normally have this problem. Other than that, they seem healthy and are behaving normally. I have heard somewhere that this is caused by constipation. I haven't changed they're food at all, except that I have been adding a few sinking pellets for my algae eaters. Does anyone know if this is a potential problem arising and what I can do about it? Thanks.

I got a betta fish a few days ago, first he lived in a regular bowl for maybe 2 days and then today i got him a mini bow 2.5
it came with a filter and light. I decorated it and did everything i needed to do but he still acts weird. He just kind stays in one spot of the aquarium and just looks at the wall. He doesn't swim and doesn't really eat. He just stays on at the corner and on top. Tell me if hes just getting used to his new living situation or theres something wrong

Alright, so i have a West Highland White Terrier (Westie..) puppy (nearly 7 months) and we want to start her on a new brand/type of dog food.
Right now she is eating Purina Puppy Chow (only because that's what her breeder fed her from when she started to eat hard food) she doesnt seem to like it much though.
I want to start her on a new brand of dog food (healthy and yummy :p).
Any recomendations?
Price does not matter too much, $25 would probably be the limit... Anything to keep my doggy happy though :)

Also, i know about transfering her diet slowly, and mixing it with her current food, so that she doesnt get sick.

oh yeah, links to the dog food brand's website would help, but dont worry about it if you dont know the domain name...

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!
