Since I feel like *seriously* answering a question... :P

Well, let's say instead of fish we use some figurative intelligent creature that would understand what the heck we're saying to it. And because it lives in water, it could never come in contact to fire... So it's like the "how do you explain sight to a blind person?" thing, right?

Well, fire looks bright and is hot. Those are still things that something in water could still understand and relate to, they know light and heat. Also, to explain the burning -- chemicals in water can cause a burning sensation, so it would be like that. I think they'd get the idea. Or something.

easy - first, set your hand on fire. Then, say to the fish "OOWW, fire hurts." The fish will understand, and not play with fire.

You make a little bonfire in an ashtray, then put it in front of their tank and light it. They will either look fascinated or swim away.

get a box of water proof matches ,stick your head in its bowl.NO take your head out of the bowl you can`t get the match in.lets try again ,no that won`t work either.send for the scouts they are good with water and fire.lol.does it really after know!!!
