For a 2.5 gallon tank with an under gravel filter and air pump, what are my options for fish. I know that goldfish are out, and I can't have more than three small fish.

It came with a divider, would it be possible to keep two separated male bettas or is it too small?

What are my other options for combinations (number of fish ans species?) I'm very nervous! I don't want my fish to die!

My dog is a rescue jack russell terrier. Up to date on doctors visits and vaccines and not quite 1 year old yet.
She's well behaved and lovely in every way except when ever you go to show her any affection or attention, she bites. I have to quickly put a chew toy in her mouth or she'll just bite me.
I tried everything, I tried bitter apple spray, a spray bottle with water, rattling can, I tried to hold her down until she stopped biting and kicking but she will NOT stop until I just stand upand walk away and even then sometimes she follows me part way to bite my legs as I go.
But I know she loves me because she always stays by me as long as I don't pet her. Also she isn't biting in a mean way, it all seems like play biting (even though she always breaks open my skin).
Please help me what can I do Usually I can't put the leash on without her biting. Something always seems to have to be in her mouth on her walks too she needs to bite the leash. I walk her 2-3 hrs a daytotal.

I have a large dog that is super friendly to adults and had never been around children. At a recent family gathering a little boy approcahed him (I had him on a leash) to pet him and I ignorantly assumed he would be fine. Before the boy could touch him the dog started growling and snarling at him and yanking on his leash. My dog didn't hurt him because he couldn't reach him and by the way he was acting I am assuming he would have hurt the child if he could have gotten to him. My husband then later took our dog over by a group of children playing to watch them so he could get used to them (without being too close as to put the kids at risk of course) and he wouldn't stop growling and snarling at the kids. Is there a way to get my dog to accept children without putting any children at risk or is it impossible if he hates them? The dog is almost three years old and has never exhibited this type of behavior to adults and we don't have kids but would like to within the next few years

My cat is about 4 years old, and had her shots when I got her at 3 months old. She stays inside and does not come in contact with other animals. My question is, is she supposed to be getting vaccinations regularly from the vet?
Thanks in advance for any helpful information.

ok guys - let's have some fun. Tonight I have seen the standard goldendoodle. But someone just mentioned a jackadoodle. So let's have it. Mix any ONE (and only one) breed of your choice to give me your new and improved ________ doodle.

No thumbs downing - they aren't real - but let's see what new "breeds" we can come up with - and be creative on your doodly name!

For example - (I get this one) - I want to mix a cocker spaniel to get a cockadoodle. Cockadoodle doooo everyone!

Next!

Im thinking of getting a box turtle, but don't want to spend $100s on the tank

Is it ok to just use one of those really big plastic tubs as long as it has proper heating, that would make it easier for me, and the turtle could have a bigger enclosure

Is this a good Idea, or am I just being cheap

I know alot of you are going to say 'turn him in circles' or something of the sort, and trust me I've tried. Sometimes it works but he'll also move sideways really awkwardly instead of turning a lot of the time even when I crank his head around as far as I can, he's gotten good at jerking away before anyone can get his head around far enough for force him to stop going sideways and actually turn.

He only does it badly after jumps. He'll try to run away on the flat occasionally but he's easy to work down from that, after jumps he gets it set in his mind that he's jumping the next thing he sees and drags you towards that.

I'm trying to get read of my snails they poop more than they clean and they lay too many eggs! I was wondering if pure alcohol (the kind that is used to clean cuts and stuff) would that kill it FAST and with out hurting it? Or is there a better way and quicker way I don’t want to hurt it even though it’s just a snail.

Thanks for all your help!

The number 1 thing I hear about is that people who breed them are irresponsible and stupid and are in it only for money that is true in some cases but not all cases because there are also a lot of responsible breeders to. The number 2 thing is that why would you buy a mutt thing when you can just adopt one but that goes for purebreds to there are also tons of them in shelters too but nobody complains about that. So what are people always complaining about?

I recently got a new kitten (9 wks old). He and the resident cat (6 mos old) get along fine, albeit with a lot of play fighting.

A few days ago I noticed what seemed like a small scrape (like a scuff on suede) on his nose (the muzzle). I assumed he'd gotten it while rough-housing with the other cat and kept an eye on it. By day 2 the area had some white around it and I thought maybe it was new fur (he's a Siamese, their fur can grow back white), but it's gotten worse the past couple days and now I just have no idea what it is. It's like what happens when you get suede wet - stiff, kind of scabby looking, almost "cracked." I'm pretty sure it's not ringworm. It seems to vaguely match the description of some kinds of mange, but it's just on his nose, and neither he nor the other cat have any symptoms of mange (no scratching and it doesn't bother him). He's going to the vet if it doesn't improve, but..
