Don't do it if your dog is over 12 weeks old. You don't want to do it under 10 wks either. It's important that your dog is wormed, has shots and is healthy before getting it done. After 12 wks, the ears may not stand properly. Another problem is, there is a lot of necessary AFTERCARE with the ears. If you are considering getting it done, contact the Vet that will be doing it so you can schedule the cropping and the pre-op exam. The Vet who will do it is the one that should tell you when you should go. No one here!

7-9 weeks of age.. You should do research and only have them done by a qualified vet that regularly does ears, has done the ears of the breed you are interested in getting cropped and can give you references so you can talk to people who have gotten their ears cropped there, or at least photos of ears that he has cropped..

It depends on the breed, schnauzers and dobies and boxers about 7-8weeks old, great danes 10wks. Do not go past these times or the cartilage will have formed creases and getting them to stand would be doubtful. Many pets die from spaying, anethesia, during neutering, pulling at insision, requiring emergency repair surgery, infection. Lets not split hairs on what is "cruel and unusual" I mean come on, cut off there genitals is kind?

Anywhere from 7-12 weeks. Absolutely no later than 12 weeks. To the answer above, tails should be docked in the first few days of life.

circulate to the DPCA web site and look on the breeder referral checklist on your section. touch considered one of those breeders and ask them what Vet they use. BTW, why won't be able to YOUR breeder advise a Vet? quite, the ears ought to have already been cropped earlier purchase. that's what respected breeders do. it is PINSCHER, not Pincher.

When I get a dog.

Why don't you let it be? Someone started the idea just for you to go and spend your hard earn money into something unnecessary. (Just my opinion of course).
