I have an oranda goldfish who is about 3 1/2 inches long. He lives by himself in a 20 gallon tank

Do you think he will ever get this big

What size tank would I need for it to get to a large size

How old is it when it is this size

I would love for my goldfish to get to a monster size like this one

wow, that's a nice big goldfish

you have now a 20 gallon tank, and will need eventually to upgrade to a 30 and maybe even to a 40 tank

they will definately grow that big, if you take proper care of them

that means at least 25% weekly partial waterchanges with a gravel siphon
and only feeding them twice a day as much as they will eat in under 2 min

Hope that helps
Good luck

yes -- he should get close to that in your tank -- just keep the water clean. a lot of breeders think clean water without nitrates is how to get fish to grow. if you change 1/4 of the water weekly he should grow at a fairly normal pace.

i have always thought goldfish will grow to the environment. you should find a good (reputable) aquatic store and ask them.
