What sort of other small fish species could go well with a betta fish?

Could I put an african dwarf frog in with a betta?

How many very small (tetra or guppy sized fish) could go in a 2.5 gallon tank?

Some bettas are more aggressive than others. So are some frogs. But generally speaking, both bettas and dwarf frogs are tough and have fast enough reflexes to keep from seriously hurting each other, and do not naturally see each other as competitors.

You can probobly fit like 1 more fish in your 2.5 tank, so you might want to upgrade to a 10 gallon.
ALRIGHT. I own a betta, I have a 10 gallion tank, and he has been living with 2 mollies 3 White Clouds 1 Dwarf Gourami, and this fish that I don't know what it is my dad just gave it to me, he sucsk on the side of the tank. ANywho, The rule of thumb is nothing that has flowing tails, and it had to be abotu the same size, but not too aggressive. Your betta may do some signs but it may go away. Or you may have an aggressive Betta. BUT good luck!

well first of all for all the others, a betta is just as much a community fish as all the other tropical fish

and yes you could put a african dwarf frog with him

but i wouldn't recommend putting any other fish in there, since it's really really small, and actually a minimum for a betta by him self with a live plant as well (they love to rest on them)

also a couple of applesnails would be a choice to get

Hope that helps
Good luck

in case you desire sturdy durable fish for a 5 gallon tank i might probable get a betta. Bettas are great fish and a few have been waiting to stay as much as six years in the event that they arrive from an excellent breeder. don't get a heater for in spite of fish you determine to get because of the fact the warmth makes the fish mature greater rapidly and stay shorter lifespans. it particularly is been shown that each and everyone fish stay longer in cooler water, inspite of species. Bettas are cool fish, are available great colours and stay long lives....sturdy success with choosing a funky fish.

you can not put any other types of fish into the tank with a betta or the betta will kill them however you can put female bettas into the tank with the male but they will have babies very fast and would end up being a pain.

the betta fishes fight all the other fishes that live in the same tank

you can only put a female (if yours is male) betta when they can reproduce but then you have to get it out
