well i have 1 yorkie and i am getting another one soon..and i want them to have kids i have to wait until they are 6months correct? and yes after i am going to get them fixed... thanx

Well, first of all breeding two dogs is not about getting a male and female together. It is very obvious that you do not have any knowledge in that area or you would never ask is it OK to breed a 6 month old dog.
My advise: read a lot of books, talk to other yorkie breeders and your vet (if you don't have one, find one) and wait a few years. Don't forget to research the parents as far as any genetic problems etc, it takes a lot of knowledge, testing, money and compassion to become a breeder, not just two dogs.

Well actually you need to get them fixed first. Dont you know enough that broken dogs cant have babies? Get them fixed and then let nature take its course. You'll be swimming in baby Yorkies in no time. Good Luck to you. I can tell by your question you have sooo much experience. I'm sure you want to do it right. Dogs that havent been fixed shouldnt have babies. (_?_)

no the male has to be 12 mos and the girl has to be in second heat. if you let them mate and not stop in between theywill have lots of pups but probably no problem with having them. you will need milk from the vet to help feed them. they can all be saved but you have to really take care and help feed them. they have to have tails docked and the vet can tell you when and the worming begins and shots very young take care.

Please don't. Over 7,000 dogs are put down every DAY in the U.S. There are so many, and if you let your dog have puppies, there will be even more. Somewhere, one dog will be put down for every puppy you have. Check this out:

yes... actually, you should wait till they are about 1 or 1 and a half, and you cant breed them until they are 6 months because the females dont come in heat until then... but please wait until they are at least 1 year, it is better for them!
