I have a family of 4 and the youngest chld is 8. We would prefer a dog that's not large. More like beagle size. We would like one that's a non shedder. But if you can't think of one, maybe we could do a shedder.

I want a Tabby kitten, but I don't know whether to get a male kitten or a female kitten. I doubt that I am going to let it outside much if at all, so it will mainly be an indoor cat. Which are more affectionate? Males or females?

My 3 year old yorkie poo is always biting herself to the point where she has literally made an open wound. I try to keep clothes on her as much as possible, but when it gets hot I have to let her go "naked" :). Her diet is pretty good, she eats wet and dry food, rice and sometimes chicken. My vet has given us medication, but I only use it sporadically b/c it isn't meant to be a long term solution. I can't afford to get her allergy testing right now but I also can't let her keep biting herself. Any suggestions? Should I change her diet, is there a cream or spray to help with the itchiness? She is kind of a nervous dog, so I am even wondering if it could be a nervous habit? Any advice would be GREAT!!

ok,
my cats are 18 and my sister rescued them from the side of the road when they were kittens
my sister is moved out and married and in college
but for the past 6 years they've been in a barn with a few dogs (German shepherds) dirt floor, lots of mice that they don't chase
for about 3 years they lived in hay since we used to have horses
but how many lives have they used up?

thanks for reading

Kay I just thought that since I just had a guinea pig die of liver failure I should warn others that dont know this. Do NOT use pine shavings for ANY rodent!! The pine has a special chemical in it that makes the rodent waste smell less and this is what causes liver failure in rodents. I have found a new bedding from Care Fresh. It does come in a smaller bag and is alot more expensive, but If you want to have your small furry friend for a full happy life, you may want to consider what you've just read.

Very affectionant dogs. rotty has been trained by lic. trainer. Both neutered, their not for breeding but for loving and returning their love and loyalty back to you. If you want them please reply

I raise tropical fish and have heard about using Hydrogen peroxide to keep fungus from attacking unhatched eggs. For years I've been using Methylene Blue with mixed results.

I am seriously considering getting an AKC reg., full blooded, English Bulldog puppy, I've done lots of research on them and other dogs. I'm a little worried about the health problems that Bullies have, but I'm also finding that other breeds have health problems too, so should that deter me away from this breed?

Also, in my research I found that Bulldogs need lots of attention, which is fine because I spoil my animals (I already have 1 cat) like children and give them lots of attention, but I also work and go to school (I'll be done in may '08) part-time, are they good dogs to crate? My days off I always spend at home and by b/f will be here on his days off so at the most 3 days (I mean during the day) will it need to be crated, is this bad?

I love bulldogs, I love there temperment, looks, everything do you think this is the right breed for me?

Thanks.

PS> please don't give me links to websites, I've done enough research I'm looking for personal advice here! :)
