Take her to the vet if she is in pain. One of my cats has long hair and sometimes has poo hanging, bless her she sometimes cannot reach to clean herself so I use baby wipes to give her a hand. No different from cleaning a babys bum. As for the fur in the poo, she may be washing herself a bit too much so therefore swallowing some fur. Try grooming her often, or there is a special kind of paste you can get from the vets, put some on the roof of her mouth and that should help stop her swallowing her fur.

She's got so much fur in her digestive system from grooming while she's shedding that things got stuck.

DON'T pull on it, as you can see it does hurt her.

If she can't get it out by later tonight, call the vet and ask if there's something you can use--possibly canola oil around the poop will lubricate the area enough, but if it's really stuck the vet will have to do this for her or something could tear.

Your cat is probably in the middle of her summer shedding with her coat and can use some help with you brushing her. But this needs to be fixed first.

HI , sounds like good ole constipation.
My Lola (tabby cat ) used to suffer badly with constipation and the vet recommended 1ml of liquid parrifin a day twice a day for a week and it seemed to help.
She has it now only occasionaly and i got straight for the cupboard if she is having toilet trouble.
You know your cat better than anyone here so please if you are worried or unsure give your vet a call, they can give you advise for free over the phone.
PS it may also be worth getting a food that helps with hair digestion and groom her more often

Clean the area with a baby wipe or wet toilet roll and call the vets for advice/appointment because if it's not constipation it could be something else that needs treatment.

Hope this helps.

OK - one other idea - we had a cat that just LURVED eating elastic bands (OK - do you see where this is going....?)

We had to get her to the vet because part of the band stayed inside & part was outside. Luckily it hadn't wrapped around anything - just got a bit caught up in what was to come - if you get my drift. When she ate string it was a bit of a problem too.......

Looking forward to getting a cat that eats plastic bags so it comes out ready packaged now!

Seriously though - any possibility she has been scoffing things she oughtn't to - get her to the vet now!

Maybe she is indeed constipated. Have you tried hairball remedies/food? How about a visit to the vet? I know they can be pricey, but I firmly believe our cats are priceless and if you love her, please take her for a check up.

Try getting a product called laxatone, or laxaire, or something simular. It acts as a stool softener, and helps with hairballs.
And as always- if you are really concerend- call her vet.

she probably licked herself and created a hairball she is trying to pass...leave her be until it comes out.Probably on the same wave length as labor.. I guess leave it be for a while. IF IT doesn't come out..call your vet immediately!

She may have anal gland problems. It may also occur if the cat has a buildup of feces and matted hair around the anus. This is seen more commonly in long-haired breeds.
