Since I have a runaway dog, does anyone know how much it costs for either the microchip or the invisible fence? I've recieved lots of great answers to my recent question about how to keep her from running away everytime a door is left open. Thanks to everyone who answered that question also.

What other illnesses are there for fish? I want to be aware of them. Tell me them and tell me the sign. There are two I know of, Ick and Fungus. Please tell me more so that I can keep my fish! I have lost at least ten fish by now!

I have two 6 week old male kittens, and I was wondering, what is the appropriate age to get them neutered? I've heard I can get it done as young as 3 months, but also heard I shouldn't get it done until they are at least 8 months. What's the truth?
Thanks!

My nieghbor saved a kitten thats mother was feral, she has taken the kitten to the vet and has had her checked and shots given. The problem is she has severe diarhea and the vet keeps giving her medicine for parasites ( they also gave her antibiotics previously for the same problem) even though they checked for parasites and none were found, this medicine seems to be making her worse, she picked up the kitten and feces just runs out of her....has anyone given Immodiun AD to there kittens and iis it safe. I know my mother would give it to her Yorkies if they are really sick but Im not sure about a kitten.

He's a very sensitive dog (male) and has absolutely no instinct for chasing a ball. When I've tried to teach him he just gets really upset, sits down and looks like I'm telling him off even though I'm not. I really want to train him to chase a ball though to give him more exercise. I've tried in the garden as well as the park, and with rewards, but nothing I've tried seems to work!

I've heard great things concerning both dogs but I don't know which would fit in with my family and situation the best. I don't live in the greatest part of town and a big guard dog (that can protect both property and its owner) I can count on would make me feel more comfortable.

I'm leaning more towards the Neapolitan Mastiff because of its size and looks (which in itself might be a deterrent), but the ability of guarding home and owner while simultaneously being a good family dog with a dependable temperament means a lot more to me--and since I've never owned either, I really don't know which would be a better pick.

Any advice?

i have a 10 gallon tank with 2 female balloon mollys along with 3 male guppies, an aquatic bamboo plant, everything else is fake plants or rocks. thanks for your help! :)

bonus question: would it be okay to add 2 or 3 more neon tetras? or would it be to overcrowded? would i need to clean it even more often?

I knew there's a problem from yesterday...all the guppies were swimming at the bottom level....could it be the water was too cold for them??? Temp 79F.

Anyway, do I clean the whole tank or partially clean it...if partially clean, wouldn't the water infect the other guppies?

I have a 5-yr old Golden Retriever with it. We are getting a consultant to talk to about possible treatments, but I wish to know a little more about the condition.

How long do dogs survive from the time of a recurrance?
Is Fibromatosis fatal?
Is radiation or chemo effective against Fibromatosis?
If excision alone by local vets is ineffective and recurrance occurs, is it worth it to get a "better" vet to do more intense surgery followed by radiation, or should we leave the growth as is?

My Golden Retriever shows no signs of pain, and (besides Fibromatosis) is in very good health. We love her very much and are willing to spend the money on radiation or chemotherapy, but we still don't know whether or not it is worth it.

Thank you in advance for your help.

i've been looking at getting a ferret as a pet, but some things are making me change my mind. apparently they are really stinky, if i get one that is de-scented will it smell less? and i have three cats, and one is insanely bossy, will the ferret get attacked by my cat? do they bite? and i've herd that you can litter train them, is that true?

I have a 40 gal tank that currently has river rock gravel, lots of fake plants and 2 large pieces of driftwood. I am using a marineland 400 filter which is rated for a tank twice the size and has 2 bio wheels with one of those being already established froma previous tank . I am currently have 3 corys and a pleco in the tank because I am still trying to figure out the "focal point" fish. I will be adding a peat moss bag to the filtration to help with the hardness which is slightly high and also a heater since my tank is at 80 degrees right now. I am looking for any other suggestions on set up before the fish and the recommended amount of juvenile discus (I was thinking 2-3). My main problem is I am getting conflicting information on the care from tank set up to parameters. Also I am not interested in breeding them Thanks

I was considering a livebearer community tank but I want danios too. The tank is 10 gallons, it has lots of foliage and breeding grass from when my guppies were in that tank and it has an airstone under the gravel, also a rock with lots of little places to hide and the gravel is 1/4 inch, is this suitable?

I have a female cat that I took in from a former neighbor some years ago. She is real old but I don't know her exact age (20 something). All of a sudden she can't walk and it's like she is paryalyzed but she does have feeling and movement. When I try to stand her up she has no strength and falls right down on her side, her eyes are huge, like she is scared when this happens. She is eating so that's a good sign. What could be wrong with her? I have no poisonous plants in my house or other chemicals that she could have gotten into.
