I have a 30 gal hex tank. It has 4 guppies, 3 platys, four neons and four rummy nose plus 3 baby corys and a pictus. Is my tank full? Can I add? If so, what can I add? And, Can I move the pictus to a 10 gal tank w/ a male betta?

I've had my cat since she was 4 years old and now she's 8. When I first got her, she had no hairball problems. She later started occasionally throwing up so I started giving her hairball remedy treats. They worked well even though she'd still have hairballs. They just weren't as often. I used to feed her wet food all the time but stopped doing that for a couple months. Now, however, I'm starting to feed her wet food again and whenever I do, she throws it up. This didn't used to happen. Just this morning, she threw up a handful of food all over my bed and it was gross. Can my cat not handle wet food anymore? I only want to take her to the vet as a last resort since she's a house cat and gets carsick VERY easily. Anyone know what's going on?

I was playing fetch with my 4 month old American yellow lab in the yard when I threw the ball and it went under my car. My pup sped after the ball dashing under the car, and when she came out a black streak was down her back. She had probably rubbed against the exhaust pipe or something under the car that had some oil grease or auto-sludge, and now the mark wont come off. She is a very light colored lab, with a creamish colored coat, its kinda whitish. But its getting darker as she ages. So anyways, this black streak doesnt come out with water, of course this happened only an hour or so after I bathed her :). If u guys know how to get this stuff off that'd b great, water doesnt get it out. Her fur doesnt feel greasy but it sure did leave a mark. Thanks...

I can always tell when my 9 yr old golden retriever is ill because his ears go cold. he has been ill for about a week and at first he was panting a lot and he keeps going off his food a little bit, he eats but only when prompted. also if you hold your hands (with food on them) to him he pulls away when he normally licks them. he has also started lying right next to the door and instead of barking and wagging when we get home he waits until the last minute to get up. apart from this he still seems lively and playful. HELP!!!! i love my dog to bits

I started out with 6 black neons. About 3 of them died. I then added two guppies, they both died. Another two black neons died, leaving just 1 black neon in the tank. I added 3 more black neons, all 3 new ones were dead within a couple of weeks.

What is going wrong? Is the one original black neon that I have had from the start killing all the other fish? Surely it can't be a water quality problem, or even the one surviving neon would have died. Right?

My little baby girls is just starting to use my boyfriends leather couch as a scratching post!! We have a scratching toy cactus she wont even use but preferrs the feel of leather on her claws.How do i get her to stop??? We have had it for a few months now and she never went near it until now? We tell her off everytime she does it but always returns when we are not looking!! I'm worried she may dissappear to the animal shelter if she does it once more infront of my boyfriend.Please help!!!

I have noticed very small black bugs crawling on my dog. When I say small, I mean about the size of a pen point. I don't know what they are. I have small children and want to make sure they wont harm my kids or my dog. I have an appointment to take him into the vet but they can't see him for 3 days and I want to make sure that these bugs wont harm us or him. Also, should I keeo him outside to keep the bugs from coming into the house? What can I do to get rid of them?

i have a 29 gal tank with about 25" of fish (i must allow four inches because two of my fish will eventually get 2'' bigger)
anyways, my tank looks empty even with 14 fish in it. Furthermore, i have never ever ever had one single trace of nitrate in my tank. I change the filter once a month and do a water change 1 or 2 times a month. Why am i restricted to 29 inches of fish in my circumstances? Where did this rule come from? Why?

Once you've had an outbreak of ich and treated it, does it still remain in the tank? Is it always in the tank? If you add new fish and they DONT have ich, can they pick it up from the tank? If you have plants or decorations in that tank and move them to another tank, will you be spreading ich to the new tank? Is it always living in your tank just waiting for an opportunity to strike or is it gone once you treat it successfully?

I bought a guppy fish today - orange and white tail... as I examined closely, it could be the tail is loosing its color. It's head - looks as if there is a white lump...not too sure because the tank is a bit turbid due to cycling I suppose.
