He'll be fine. Just keep an eye on the sites where the ticks were attached. If you notice any abnormal looking swelling than you should take him to the vet. The ticks' heads will eventually work themselves out. I use Frontline Plus. It takes care of fleas and ticks.

It is fine to leave the head in, it will eventually fall off. Just watch the site for infection. Just make sure to keep it clean. The best thing for fleas and ticks is a product called FRONTLINE you can get it from your vet's office. I know beacuse I am a vet tech. I hoped I helped!

I wouldn't worry about the head being stuck in him. I got a tick head stuck in my leg and it fell out in about a week, and I didn't get sick or anything. Just make sure it doesn't get infected. Take him to a vet if it does, but there's not much they would want to do if it is not infected.

Lots of topical products available to get rid of ticks...Revolution is great, it takes care of internal parasites and heartworm as well as fleas and ticks, theres Advantix and Frontline...

Talk to your vet about a cut Ivermectin solution for a 1cc/40lb ratio. I use that on my farm dogs.

Get K-9 Advantix from your vet. It works like a charm on my dog, and he hasn't been bothered by fleas or ticks.

get either frountline plus or k9 advantics. go on petmeds.com or ask your vet. there is also a spray for your yard that is sold at homedepot or lowes that can keep them away from your yard for about a month or longer. just spray around your yard, trees, and especially your bushes and plants. it will even help your plants grow.
