we found a baby bird and we think that it fell out of its nest.
it can't fly but can jump.
what should we do?
how should we take care of it?
what should we give it to eat/drink?
its really hot outside so we dont want it to be outside

thanks a lot!

There were two neighborhood dogs, unleashed, not tied up, out in their yards with two of my neighbors. They were not paying attention to their dogs and the two ran over 1/2 a block up to us. My dog and one of the off-leash dogs got into a little fight (he suffers from on-leash aggression - basically because my dog has now been attacked on 3 separate occasions by off-leash dogs). He will now be an anxious mess for the next month while walking him.
Is it my fault that the dogs got into a fight? If her dog had been injured (neither were), would I have been responsible? I need to know what others think because this is the second time this woman has been out with her dog - not watching it - and it has ran up to us.
I'm just upset. I have been working so hard with him in training and this situation is going to set us back a month. I have been trying to diminish his on-leash aggression but off-leash dogs don't help. I explained this to the neighbor the first time it happened . .

I am a college student who recently found the most amazing mutt at the pound, part australian cattle dog, part who knows what (probably pit bull). He's 6 months old, and he's currently about 35 lbs. I've already got him house trained, he knows a couple good commands and in general he's just a really good dog. My mom thinks that he will be too time consuming and expensive for me to handle. I've already got all the big expenses out of the way (all those shots, neutered, kennel, leash, collar, etc) and he gets walked (1-3 miles) AT LEAST once, if not twice a day. In the coming school year, I will be living at a house with a big backyard. I know that owning a dog is a big responsibility, but my dog keeps me active and I'm guaranteed a kiss everytime I get home. How do I convince her that a dog is easy to keep in my life? How many hours a day do you spend with your dog? What's the hardest part about keeping him happy? thanks!

Before spending tons of money at my vet, please help me! My dog was trying to use the bathroom and started falling over and falling into walls and could not work her right front foot. After putting her outside and after she did her business she was fine and has not had anything wrong since. She did this once before but it was because she fell off the bed and hit her head. Please help!!!!

I have 1 fantail-goldfish, 1 subuschkisn. they are in the gold fish family. Then I have 1 molly and 1 sword-tail fish. The rest are community, and all of the fish listed stay togather in a 55 gallon tank. I also have a 10 gallon tank with two RED OSCAR'S inside of it, let me know if any of the fish can go with them as well, or any communite fish. I have almost all of them I think, or at-least the most popular one's. (should I get a 29 gallon tank for the mis-matched fish?)

He went at 5pm last night and we havent seen him since. He's an indoor cat and has only been in the garden a few times. This time he climbed over the back fence. The thing is our house backs onto farmers fields with a long grassy track directly behind our garden. Im not sure if he will be able to find his way back because the weeds are quite dense. Hes been castrated. What do you think the chances are of him coming back? I cant stop crying, thinking of what might have happened. I miss him so much, he was my baby.

I know this might sound like a dumb questions. However today I had to carry my dog back into the house he was exhausted and couldn't get up after getting tangled on his leash. Max is a house dog due to he had surgery on his eyes twice and is light sensitive. He is a very spoiled dog and loves to be around me and my children. I know he is on bought time and his eyes and hearing is impaired. My husband feels it isn't time to put him down. He said Max is overall happy, still has control of his bowels and bladder and isn't in any pain, so he doesn't see that it is justified. However, when family comes to visit they always comment on him needing to be put down because he is old and weak. Everytime my sister in-law show up she says he dying and not going to make it much longer. She is wiser and grooms animals...Can anyone tell me what to be watching for. Thanks

I'm taking an objective poll:

Let's say you have dogs, and specific dog dishes from which you feed them.
Then you have specific dishes that people use.

Do you use the same dish sponge for both when washing these dishes, or do you use two different sponges, one for dogs, and one for people?

Point A) There is soap and hot water involved, so any germs are cleaned away by the soap and hot water.

Point B) Dogs eat poop and lick their own butts.

Your vote is appreciated.

Thank you,

I have two fairly shy cats. On a few occasions, my fiance and I have hired cat sitters to visit with our cats daily while we are on vacation. However, the cat sitters tell us that our cats hide from them and refuse to accept any kind of love from them. My fiance and I will be wed at my parents' house in two months. We will therefore be staying with my parents (about six hours drive away) for about three weeks. I'm worried my cats would be really freaked out by a temporary move to my parents house with us, but that they will also be really stressed and lonely with cat sitters for such a long period. Would it be more stressful for our cats to come with us to my parents house or to stay at home with cat sitters whom they fear?

She is 5 weeks old, her litter mate and her mother are fine. She has a moist sounding cough but otherwise is very playful and appears normal, what could this be? I live on a farm and have a lot of other outside cats, but the mom and babies have been inside since the babies were born. Any suggestions? Also how can I get it to go away?

The other day I noticed my tabby, Mattie, had a horrible looking sore on the side of her face down by her jaw. I believe that it was on one of her scent glands. I could be wrong though. It was about the size of my thumb and had liquid under it. Later she scratched it so much it broke and began to ooze puss and blood. I've done my best to patch her up myself but I dont know if I need to take her to the vet or not. Will it continue to get more infected if I dont take her? What should I do to help her and what should I not do?
