It means he loves you. Cats have scent glands in their feet, and their faces and butts and when they rub against you, it shows their affection, but also exchanges your scent and theirs so everyone smells similar which comforts them.
If you've ever brought a housecat home from an extended hospital stay, sometimes your other housecats will hiss at it and even attack it. That's because the cat no longer smells like 'the house' and has to be reintroduced.

My cat does this also. She is just trying to get my attention and shows affection. She loves to rub her face against mine. If I don't pay attention to her she will gently paw at me until I pick her up. Cats are more human than we like to give them credit for.

He is showing his affection towards you--like a baby feeling your face. That's adorable...I want a cat but my dad had a bad experience with one when he was little and therefore refuses to get one.

No claws - he loves you and wants to touch you like you touch him. He is a very affectionate kitty - I have one that insists on touching me gently on the face as I do her then she will always put her paw on my hand before she falls asleep. You are being loved :-)

One of my cats does this occaisionally too. I see no threat or anger in her gesture but rather tenderness and love. Mine does this when she wants attention. But I think they are just petting us back. And the nose to nose or forehead to forhead is a loving gesture too.
hmm, just thought of this too, Cats spread their scent from scent glands in the facial area too. So nose to nose or rubbing his face to yours might be sharing his scent with you, but in a loving gesture.

awww! how cute! that definately means a good thing. It means they are bonding to you and is playing with you. Its a cute thing for a cat do to. They usually do it as a kitten but if they are still doing it when they are older, you've got yourself one loving kitty!

He's just showing that he knows you care about him. And that he loves you back. My boyfriend cat does that with me, his cat likes me better then him ^.^. Listen to see if he's purring too, that'll give you a better idea.
