The cat is on heat, and is driving me crazy with the constant yowling all over the house.

Short of chucking her out to look for a tomcat, is there any way i can get her to shut the heck up??

I recently heard that the swiffer wet jet cleaning solution contains all but one of the ingredients in antifreeze and that dogs and cats have died from licking there paws after walking on the floore. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
That would probably dangerous for children too don't you think?

I would liek to decorate my 10 gallon swordtail(yes they will be moved to a 20 gallon soon then next year a 55) I kinda want like a beach theme. I have like a little sand castle decoration in there. I am planning on sand for the bottom. I am also gonna put a piece of driftwood in. Anyone have any other ideas to make it beachy? Like are there any plants that look like seaweed(I would really like to add live plants)

After the swordtails are moved this tank will probably have...
3-4 corys
a few african dwarf frogs
1 betta(a female)

Also, for the 20 gallon the swordtails will be moved into, I would like it moderatly planted, any ideas for a theme that plants would do nicely in. I will probably have a mixture for substrate(like florite and sand) and a few corys

Kind of an odd question. I know birds are loud by nature. Well, my budgie is making sounds that I can't distinguish as being loud, or actually disturbed by something. The sounds are not just loud, many times they sound panicked, or perhaps angry. Instead of loud chirps, he'll go into frantic screeching, which usually accompanies running across his perch, and occasionally flapping his wings, almost like he's in a tantrum. I try to understand this behavior, and have done everything from turning my music down, or even completely off, typing quieter, giving him a lot of attention, and still he persists. Even if it's totally quiet, he'll screech and scream sometimes. I've heard budgies are not REALLY loud birds by nature, so I cannot understand this behavior. Does this sound like natural behavior, or does it seem like there is something bothering my budgie? Comments would be appreciated, especially from bird handlers who may have experienced this type of behavior before.

Why ?
And also has anyone influenced this e.g :you have a cat and spoil it like a king therefore you wish you were a cat because of the way youve treated yours.

Basically the animals are frequently doing their bussiness (peeing and poo-ing) inside the house even though were home to let them out. It started with our dog doing it's 'bussiness' in one specific area and then moving to other areas, and our cat does it as well now. is their anyway to stop them doing this, or any type of product i can use to stop them from to do it inside??

Domestic cats only! No tigers or snow leopards. Assume that you are well-bred and that whoever owned you would love you, take care of you, keep you properly fed and medically sound.

What breed would you be? What characteristics does it possess that makes it special?

I KNOW all cats are special! I've never owned a pure bred in my life. I'm just curious.

I have a kitty (12 weeks) and I'll be going away for 4 days. Would he be alright with just one visit per day from a petsitter? What is the best to do? Can't get my friend to look after him and I'm worried how will he cope.Thank you for any suggestions

My parakeet is about 8 months old and is now tame. I have tried ever since I have got him to eat foods other than seeds and he just will not do it. I have read that dipping the food in seeds will get them used to it and will ease them into eating other foods, but it did not work.

I was just recently down by the lake-thing in my backyard, and I noticed some fish that looked very similar to the Red-Tailed Shark. If they were Red-Tailed Sharks wouldn't it be possible to catch them and put them in a tank?

I figured that they wouldn't survive in a normal fish tank, not only because of the limit of space, but because the chemicals from the water that they are in now is probably very different than water in my tank. Some one at my local pet store told me that as long as I move them from the lake-thing to my tank while they were still young, they'd survive, but I think he might be wrong. Does anyone know whether or not those fish would live in a normal fish tank?

Thank you in advance.

He flinched while cutting them and he is bleeding non stop. I have never seen blood actually squirt out like it was on him. It has slowed a little, but we called shelter and they gave us the powder to put on it, however, he weighs 120 pounds (more than me) and I am having a hard time trying to get him to stop moving. Evertime he moves, it starts pouring out again through the powder. The vet is closed here, and like i said i talked to the shelter (he is a dog we adopted from he was there 5 years and he is 8 great dane/lab mixand we volunteer there all the time) but the powder doesn't work with him moving all over
