If she is in a cage where there is a male, then YES. Her pregnancy will be 19 to 21 days.

If there are no males in the cage, then NO. Perhaps she is just eating well. :o)

Making a nest is natural for mice. It provides shelter and warmth or a place for babies. It can also be that she is trying to hide from on-lookers or making a place where she can hide her snacks.

Mice make big nests in the winter to help them stay warm because they loose body heat so quickly.

Hope this helps. . . . ~~~(O8:> . . . . (squeak...)

This is a sure sign of babies are on the way. You might want to take the male out of the cage, for sometimes the male will eat the young. However if she isn't getting really big she could just be building a nest to sleep in

she may just be building a nest for future babies....it could be a week- two weeks yet. You know when she is about to have a baby. The female will be football shaped with huge bulges sticking out from each side. When it looks like she is ready to literally pop....she will have them.

Sounds like it. But I've seen non-birthing mice make nests, too, because they want a place to sleep.
