I'm worried that there is something wrong, it's been under there all day and won't come out even when It's feeding time. Could it be sick or something? I do have another guppy in the tank and it seems just fine.

What kind of fishes do you think would be most suitable for a classroom? My teacher doesn't want any Angel fish because they will eat all of the other fish. lol So I mean he wants a type of fish that will last long and they can't be any saltwater fish. So please give me your ideas! Thanks!

I am wondering how bad or normal this is. My dog has become very obsessed with his ball. We have a rubber ball for him, and once its in sight, he becomes completely psycho. We have other dog toys, but he does not act like this when we play with him with these toys. Just this toy. If you take the ball, he will not stop staring, or making noises, and he shakes uncontrobbaly like he is having a seizure. He pants like crazy, and can not calm down. As soon as someone comes over, he brings the ball to them and just stares at it. He does not necessarily need us to be playing with it, sometimes he will stand on the bed, and knock it off himself just so he can fetch it. and he will even throw it himself and go get it. Other times he just lays there and licks it while he falls asleep. If you hide the ball he will run around the room sniffing for it until hefinds it, and he always does... even if its not in reach of him. He lost it for week, and was very sad and nothimself the entire weektil foun

How can I figure out whether my Budgie (bird) has lice, mites, or just dry skin? He is always scratching himself, and rubs his head against his perch often. Wouldn't I see the bugs?

I have recently adopted a puppy from a friend, who got him from the Humane Society. His papers just say Terrier and he looks a lot like a Parson Russell Terrier, but his coat is grey/black, not white, which means he's not a Parson. What is he then? He is very cute and I just really want to know exactly what terrier breed he is, or if he is a mix, what breeds he is. Is there any way to tell for sure? Help, please?

I know this is a LONG SHOT, but last night around 5:30 my Black Lab got out of our backyard. My husband & I searched for him in the rain & wind for 3 hours. With no luck in finding him we spent the entire morning and afternoon going to the local animal shelters looking for him. I have posted messages on Craigslist.com and all the PetFinders.com listings as well as the animal shelters. If anyone lives in Murrieta California and has seen a dog resembling Dakota please e-mail me at SoCalMaMaX5@yahoo.com. He is very special to us and a great part of our family. Thank you.

Dakota-7 years old-pure black thick coat with a long bushy tail. He is a Lab mix w/Husky-he looks all Lab though.

Thanks again-like I said it's a long shot-but if it brings him home then I am in debt to you.

I went to the shelter today looking to adopt another dog as a playmate for my Lab puppy. I found the perfect dog and she is on hold for me, Australian Shepherd mix. Beautiful and sweet dog and yes I know about the breed - I need a high energy dog to keep up with my high energy Lab and that I can run with along with my Lab. My question is, when I first went in there was a 10 month old puppy just laying in the cage. I thought he was sleepy until I came back to him and noticed his nose was literally covered in yellow goop that was dripping from him and his eyes were open but he didn't respond well. I called it to the attention of the worker and they immediately took him back to the vet room. So, should I wait awhile to adopt from there to ensure that the dog on hold is not sick as well or go through with it? They will only hold her for 24 hours until they put her back out for open adoption and she is great dog. But I don't know what to think. Serious answers only please!!

What kind of dog do you have? I have been waiting all my life to get a dog, i am 21. I have been researching ALL kinds of dog breeds since i was young. I live in an appartment now, and also can't afford a dog at this point. But i have been doing research on all kinds of different breeds. My favorites are pit bulls, bulldogs, boxers, bull terriers, boston terriers, mastiffs, and though i have had a few bad experiences with rottweilers, i have met a LOT of nice ones at the vet clinic where i work. Also mixed breed dogs similar to these breeds. I like large short coated dogs who are very friendly, able to be playful and energetic, but also layed back when we are relaxing at home. I have found these dogs to fit my needs and personality. I was just wondering what kind of dog you have and why you chose that dog.

We only fed our first cat dry food and once in a while some wet as a treat but were always told be careful or they'll get diarrhea. One cat vet told me otherwise that dry is high in carbs and cats don't digest them very well. It makes sense but one cat had a lot of diarrhea when I gave them only wet food. Now I'm back to dry but I don't want to be harming them if wet is better.

My female fix 5 year old cat, keeps licking herself, on her legs, back and tail, she did this last winter when she was staying with my mom, but they let it get so out of hand, she ended up completely bald and now her top lip is deformed, since she has been back with me she has not done this until within the past 2 weeks, what could it be, when I called the vet said it is more than likely a nervous disorder and not to worry unless it gets worse, it has not gotten any worse but I am worried anyway, if you have any ideas please let me know....thanks

3 : My siamese cat is almost a year old and around October she went into heat BAD....wow....we almost went insane for a week. Anyway we brought over a boy cat just to shut her up but I dont think she got pregnant since the boy cat was smaller than her and could never...uh quite get there. But as of the last 3 weeks shes been meowing like shes about to go into heat again and shes all lovey dovey, and her nipples have all plumped up like they are filled with somthing and they are really pink. Its the only time shes ever loved us to pet her belly. Could she be pregnant? Or could this maybe be a maturing effect? Since it was around october that she was with the boy cat i figured there was no way she would be pregnant since it was so long ago, but we did let her outside once for an hour in our backyard once 4 weeks ago but it seems unlikely there would of been a boy cat around since we live in the middle of the desert pretty much. Please help! :(
