I would love to but I think that it is unhygenic.

I used to but what a pain in the neck it became. I had two dogs that for some reason had this incesant need to lick. They licked my legs so much it was really gross and after I tried to push them away 3-4 times, they would start licking the sheets. Then the sheets got all wet and it was so gross. Then the bigger problem came when my husband and I wanted to do married things in bed and the dogs had to be there. No matter how many times we tried to take them off the bed, they'd jump back on. We'd close te bedroom door so they couldn't get in and they would sit right outside the door and bark and cry incensively. It drove me nuts.

It s all up to the animal. If well groomed and trained there shoudl be no problem with you animal sleeping in the same bed and room as you do. I personally dislike animals sleeping in the same bed as me for im a very tossy person and can not get into a deep sleep worrying about rolling on to my pet and killing it.

I have four cats in the house...luckily only three sleep in the bed...but I don't mind! It's so cozy with three kitties purring and snuggling with you.
I prefer that dogs sleep on the floor, though. It depends on the dog-owner relationship. I mean that if there are any dominance issues, doggy sleeps on the floor. But I have to admit that nothing made me feel safer as a kid than my big German Shepherd snoring next to me in bed!

Yes, the cats lay on the beds and our dog sleeps under the kids covers most nights, but not all, sometimes on top the covers. She never sleeps on the floor.

I let my cat sleep in bed with me, but night time is usually when he's running around with the other cats. Plus, after a while he attacks my feet whenever I move them and it gets kind of irritating. We also have a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix puppy that sleeps with my parents all the time, she's so tiny you can barely tell she's there, and she gets upset when she doesn't see anyone.

I allow my dog to sleep in bed with my fiance and I...we have a king size bed, and when my fiance is away on business I like having the extra body in the bed. However My fiance hates when the dog is in bed with us so he kicks him out... and then when we go to sleep the dog sneaks back into the bed with us and we don't know until the morning.

My fiance and I have a golden retriever and she would rather sleep on the floor than in the bed. She sleeps on this fleece blanket that is near my fiance's side of the bed or on my jeans that i leave on the floor or my shoes. My fiance's parents have 2 mini weiner dogs that sleep with them. Those dogs cannot sleep unless they are in the bed and my fiance's parents can't sleep without the dogs! They are so spoiled!

When i had only my cat itty bit, she did sleep with us, she is 3 years old, and very calm. She used to sleep right next to me. Then we got a kitten, and she wakes up in the middle of the night and starts jumping around and attacking our feet. She would sometimes get itty bit to play with her. It would wake us up, so now the kitties sleep in the living room on the couch.

Yes! I love my cats and they will always be allowed to sleep in the same bed as me.... in fact, I'm so used to them being there, it's hard for me to sleep if they're not in my bed! lol

Well, usually I don't let them sleep into my bed. Of course we are in the same room and my dog has its own bed. If you take good care of him/her, it will expand its thoughts more than to sleep it in your bed. Dogs usually follow thier masters . For example, if you were sitting in a chair and you want to let hold your dog, your teaching it to sit on furniture. What I mean is, if you want to sleep with your pet, that depends on you, of course.
