It sounds like it could be a yeast infection. Take him to the vet RIGHT NOW!!!

I think a vet trip is in order. The smell would represent some sort of infection, possibly an ulcer somewhere which would also explain the gooey stuff. Take him to the vet. Probably and antibiotic injection and a bit of cleaning will fix the problem. I had an old cat that had an ulcer on her leg and the smell was terrible. Took her to the vet, they cleaned it, gave her an antibiotic shot and the smell was gone and the wound healed up nicely.

He probably has a tooth abcess or bad teeth which can hurt. So your cat is probably pawing at his mouth and getting the saliva on his face and paws. I would get your cat to a vet ASAP!

Could be an abscess in his mouth, would account for the goo and smell, but only a vet will know for sure

Was he eating something smelly and gooey that might gotten on his face and paws? Otherwide, this is not normal and you should take him to his vet.

This sounds like a serious problem. It could be bad teeth or something much worse. Take him to the vet right away.

He might have a bad tooth his paws smell because he cleans his face

like dogs, cats will eat feces and this one may be worse about that than the average. smell it real close. solution? rub his nose in a lot lof poop evey day. all kkinds of poop. or else he will only gets worse. phewwweee! what a gross problem you have.
