Why do westerners condemn the eating of dog meat but eat beef?

The common justification against dog meat is that dogs are man's best friend. But in actual fact, it is the Western man's best friend. The rest of the world treat it as any normal animal. Yet Westerners scream murder when they see dogs being eaten in Asia.

Similarly, the Hindhus treat cows as sacred animals. So why don't the westerners stop eating beef and all that big mac.

And if you don't have a dog then say you're cat or fish or whatever you have.

Please read th
Okso my dog has had a cough for about a month now also he has lost some weight. So we took him to the vetAll he did was listen to his heart with the stethascope thing and said he 'suspects' there is somthin wrong with his heart But obivously his heart was beating extremly fast as he really hates going into the car and he hates the vets so he got himself all worked up and we had to drag him into the vets door as he hates it so much. He was so scared he was shaking So I dont think the vet really cared n just said the first thing that came to his mind He gave us tablets He still seems to be coughing but not as much and I dont see how a cough has anything to do with his heart
The vet asked us did he have dioreia or was he less active. And he has none of them he runs about like his crazy normal self and still has a very big appitite. But since going I cant stop crying as I dont want him to die. Im not sure what age he is buthe is about 8r9 What could be wrong with him?

Do you think that having a dog in your house would make someone think twice about breaking into your home? If the dog is inside and barks when someone is outside. What are your opinions?

it cost 100.00 just fo a visit for a check up and meds, even the low vcost places are sort of high for someone working a pretty close to minimum wage job , we want to enjoy the companionship of a pet too, I have taken in 2 ferals it s sad when the animal is sick or not feeling well, at least humans can go to an emergency and be BILLED I have never even found a vet thats willing to bill, and I am in Chicago where you would think there would be some like that

The dalmation is still a puppy (15 weeks, not spayed yet female), and the dachshund is a 2 year old neuetered male. They play around a lot now playfully biting each other and pinning each other, but I'm worried that the dachshund will get hurt. Is this wrestling important for their development and establishing who's "boss"? I want the dachshund to be the boss because he's older, but I really really don't want him to be hurt. Any suggestions?

My boyfriend bought my kitten some snacks/treats but Im pretty sure they are for adult cats only. I trusted my boyfriends judgment and I assumed he checked to see if it was for kittens. But it does not say its for kittens but it also doesnt say not to give it to kittens. Now he is throwing up and wont play with his sister. All he's done all night and all morning is lay around the house he wont play and he is always so so playful. His sister did not want any snacks and shes as playful as ever. Will this pass or should I take him to the Vet? He is 4 months old.

My jack russell pulls my spoodle ears for about a few seconds (this goes for her neck/thorat, and legs). Is my jack trying to harm my new spoodle or is she just playing with her. I gave one of my border collie pups to a "friend" (ha) who seems to care less and less for this beautiful 1 yr. old. At Christmas he placed his two dogs in a Kennel which was nearly full. He agreed to place two medium sized dogs in a 2'x 3' cage. The little door to the outside had been locked for at least 9 hrs when I arrived to fetch them three days later. There was no water left for them. The room was dark at 1:30 p.m. My "friend" was aware of these conditions and left the dogs to that treatment. I have his dog (my ex-dog) now and I do not want to return her to him. What are the dogs legal rights???

We walk our cat on a leash. He loves going outside and it's the only way he gets to go out. We recently moved to a small town and have been getting some weird looks from people. I don't mind the looks I'm just curious how many other people do it. He's really good at it and mostly stays on the sidewalks. He's actually better behaved than some of the dogs around here.

I've had my cat since she was 2 months old. She's 6 now, and her entire life she's acted like a kitten. She meows like one, she does really dopey things that I dont see other cats doing. I think shes got some mental issues....is it possible for an animal to be retarded?
