Someone else was asking if their dog was the only one with a certain name, so I'm kind of asking the same question. We have 3 dogs and 2 of them have VERY uncommon names. So, now I'm curious to see if anyone else has them or ever heard them before. They are:

Fieldy - Golden Retreiver (named after one of the band members from the band Korn. Registered name is, Mr. Korn Fieldy)

Froopy - Golden/basset mix (named from combining his mom and dads name together (Droopy and Fieldy))

Ever heard those names before?

I have a large dog and a small dog. Until last month I fed Pro Plan, and was pretty happy with it, but it is very expensive. Don't get me wrong, I want a high quality dog food, but I would like to save a little bit of money if possible. I switched to Science Diet and have been very unhappy with it. My larger dog has gained weight on the same amount of food, and the chunks are too big for my small dog. I also think that they are pooping more and their coats ar not as nice. A friend suggested Nutro and I know there are three different types of Nutro. I am considering trying Nutro Max, but would love some input. Please only reply if you have some actual knowledge or personal experience. Thanks so much!

My 5 month old kitten has suddenly taken an interest in meowing at my turtle. Before we left for South Carolina for Christmas she had no interest in him whatsoever. He lives in the kitchen in a 26 gallon aquarium next to the kitchen table. Now that we are both home, she will jump up on it, lean against the chair, and start meowing at him. If I walk over, she'll look at him and then at me and let out a little meow. I was planning on getting her a playmate in May/June. Another kitten. Do you think she just wants to play with my turtle? I'm kind of curious why she has suddenly started to meow so much!

I am looking for suggestions for a breed of dog for my parents. They already have a lab/chow mix and want a smaller dog as a playmate. They really like my miniature dachshund because she is really tough but don't like how much she barks. They have a large backyard and the dogs will be in the house a lot too. They don't want anything too high maintenance. Any suggestions?

He walks around funny and has been doing it for about a week now. He holds his head down and now he's even leting the front part of his back kind of slouch a little. He got out about a day before we noticed the issues and he came running back to the front door absolutely terrified. Any veterinarian or vet techs out there?

I have a stray dog who found her way into my yard. She has an eye infection and needs medical attention. I can't financially provide care for her at this moment, and I also have a very possessive, jealous lab-husky mix who is going crazy because this dog is in my yard! She's very sweet and used to people, and I don't want to call the pound because they will put her down before getting her the medical attention that she needs! I've called the local humane society shelters in my area and they all say that they don't accept animals from the public! I don't want her to die but she can't stay here ...

I read here that his health will also improve if he is spayed. Will spaying the male dane puppy, improve his growth too. Or how will it affect him?
But i wanted to get his litters later when he is completely matured, so i dont want him to be spayed. So, whats the solution for his weird behaviour with the other male dog who is also just 10 months?

Over the past few days we've noticed one of my cats (18 years) stumbling around slowly and occasionally bumping into things. They were too far appart for us to suspect anything though. Today she has totally gone from bad to worse. She can't see anything and she's walking into everything and getting lost around the house, crying for us to come help her. We would take her to the vets but they're closed for the New Year. We've noticed her pupils aren't dilating and they're cloudy. Any advice? And also she has an overactive thyroid gland. Is the blindness anything to do with this or is it just old age?

I don't want the horse or tack included. I just want to know the total you would pay a year for vet, farrier, boarding, and feed(if not included in board). I want someone who owns horses to answer this question. I don't want an exact number (since that is impossible) but an approximate. Also please tell me how much you spend on your horse yearly.
