Hi Everyone, I wanted to ask a question about pregnancy in cats; I took my siamese female to a breeder 6weeks ago, she didn't get pregnant, then I took her a second time & the breeder witnessed the two cats mating..

It's been 14 days since that happened & I left her there for 5days to make sure she gets pregnant.

But is it possible that cats are like humans when it comes to pregnancy????
can cats mate & not get pregnant??!?

**both siamese cats are over a year old & are very healthy .
So whats the deal?

Hey guys, I noticed that my gerbil's ear has been flattened for a day or two when I petted him, I didn't think much of it at first (he usually flattens my ears when I pet him) until I saw him running around his playbox this morning, and it was still flattened. I looked closer and the top of his ear is red and there is some dried blood on the bottom of the outside of his ear, and some yellowish-bloody stuff inside. I am planning to take him to the vet immediately, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and what caused it?
Again, I'm not substituting this for going to the vet, I'm DEFINITELY taking him, but I just kinda would like to know what I might be dealing with. Thanks!!

*I took this down before because I needed to re-edit it*

I never have;not a fan of silly superstitions.
BUT.......I'm seriously concidering one today.

Staying away from this UTTERLY IMBECILIC & TOTALLY fruitless site!

The Moron League will NEVER be diminished by ONE member,no matter how hard one tries to educate them. They will only GROW in numbers *&* RUIN (& produce!) & KILL more animals.
They will FIGHT to *REMAIN* morons in face of all the FACTS in world & ATTACK anybody who dares to pierce their self-important wind-bag BULLSHI* w/ the TRUTH!
*THEY* can go on blundering through life...too bad they take their defenceless animals w/them.

I'm not asking if this is normal, I just want to know if it is common. I recently adopted an oriental short hair female kitten. Beyond being a very sociable cat (which is caracteristic of the breed), she has a very funny habit. She will take a toy in her mouth and actually GROWL if you try to take it from her. And it is not aggressive !!! She is just playing !

Any of you people have seen this with your cat ?

I thought the problem was settled... my hamster only chewed on the cage bars, along the door. I knew what that meant and have been working with him; its gotten better. But now he insists on chewing on the plastic igloo and the wheel.. one of the sturdy silent wheels. He has wood blocks and even better, one of those edible, all natural tree trunks. I notice there is some eating of it but not enough. It's mostly the noise that is the problem because it is upsetting my roommate and she bops my hamster :( He doesn't understand because its not wrong. (Now he bites because of her!!!) But I worry he isn't chewing the right things. My last hamster never chewed on anything, plastic, wood, ect and his teeth grew so long that the top two broke. I need help!!

Why should we remove their male producing organs?/
How youd feel if somebody remove your testicles or ovaries..

We can cut their sperm ducts/tie their fallopian tubes if we want to sterilize them ...It may cost more...but I feel it is more proper

I just got a phone call confirming a reservation for NYE...

...at *the* most expensive hotel in town. I can't believe it. They knew Sophie was barely out of kittenhood, and they still let her make the reservation, using _my_ credit card.

I calmed down a bit and had a talk with her, and she says that's totally normal for cats these days. I'm a little weirded out by the thought of her and her friends hanging out with all sorts of Toms and nip from god-knows-where, but then, she is spayed, and she is in most respects a pretty responsible and mature older kitten. Normally, the extent of her fun (and use of the credit card) is a slight spree in the Petsmart, which I encourage every now and then. You can't keep them as kittens forever.

Anyway, I told her I'd ask here and see what other cats were doing. Is this normal? Should I let her? Should I make her take her brother along? She says I can stop by anytime to check out what's going on and see that she's safe, but I don't know.

Is the police in charge of the animal? Do they call the pound to come pick the dog up? Will the police just let the dog go to anyone who is willing to claim the animal?

My snickers went into labor last night around 8PM. She was shaking, her body temp. was lower and I could see her push a little. I saw a light green bubble sticking out of her, it popped, it was watery. Well its now 8:20 AM and theres no kittens. Do you have any suggestions? How long can a cat be in labor for? If there is some kind of vet hotline number, please give it to me.

Thanks!
