Hi Ky...could it be a hybrid domestic cat such as the Savannah or Bengal Cat. Both are larger than the typical domestic breed of cats, however they have a spotted leopard-like pattern. A savannah will stand approximately 16-22" high at shoulder height.

The 2 biggest breeds of cat are the Maine **** & Norwegian Forest Cat.

Your cat is most likely just a large domestic short or longhair cat. Purebred cats are much rarer that purebred dogs, and nearly never get out to breed with domestic cats - they cost their owners too much & are kept indoors!

If you are talking about domestic and want one they are bengals, and savannahs, they actually act like a dog and you can put bengal or savannah cat breeders in the yahoo search and find breeders. They also act like a dog but remember to get a 4th or 5th generation they are just as pretty but not as wild.

I believe the largest domestic cat is the Maine ****. Can be up to 30 pounds and the size of beagle.

That is a large tabby cat!
But Maine **** cats (who are black, white and some brown) can get over 25lbs in weight.

You did not say what color it is, but if it is gray tiger striped it could be a Maine **** cat.
When you take it to a vet for a check up and shots the vet could tell you what they think.

she has to be a savanah cat....huge cats!!!and now are domestic....i met one and really was impressed by its size and its nature....not one to have unless you really know what you are doing...smile... Happy New Years!!!
