Why would you want that small of a DOG?!?!?!?! Get a cat. That's not really even a dog anymore, is it?

Dane Lover is right. There is no such this a Tea Cup Yorkie. And thos goes for breeds such as poms and malteses. This is just somthing the breeder with intrest you in when they want to get ride of a sick puppy. Some think smaller is better, but that is wrong. Just think, is that how is goes for kids. Instead of having an 8 pound babie, its better to habe a 3 pound babie that is sick and unheathy. Same goes for dogs. They must be breed standerd weight, none of the 1 pound stuff!

No you do NOT have a Teacup Yorkie since there is NO such thing..what you do have is a dog bred undersized from the breed standard..What you od have is a dog that is at high risk for severe health issues..what you do have is a dog bought from an irresponsible breeder..and you fell for a BYB marketing ploy.
I sincerly hope no one has one smaller then 2.7#....this is extremely unhealthy. I can't tell you the number of these undersized dogs we get in at the hospital with serious health issues..heart defects, structural defects, kidneys & liver underdeveloped, seizures, joint issues and more..most of these undersized dogs don't live long healthy lives...it is a shame that irresponsible people delibrately breed these sizes and then sell to unsuspecting people..the one that pays the ultimate price is the dog...

I have a toy yorkie in a beginner obedience class of mine that was 2.1 lbs at his last vet check up. He is 3 years old.
As far as the "Tea Cup", I'm sorry to say, but the others are right. There isn't such a type recognized. I think you mean a "Toy".
Watch for health issues!!

I accept as true with the others. Runty or Scammy. there is no such subject as a teacup yorky. the only those that sell those are puppy generators or BYBs that decision them that to get extra money out of you and breed runts and sickly canines. detect a good breeder.

I know that you must be thrilled with it ,it being so small and all but please keep an eye on it ,cause some of the ppl on here are right it will or may end up having medical problems . My sister had one that was 1.3 and it is healthy but she has spent a whole lot of money on it to keep it healthy and she owned it's mom so you see she could never sell this pup in fear it would die in someone else's hands and it probably would have . so please be carefull with it . Some ppl on here are rude when they really do not have to be . good luck and god bless.

I have always wanted a Yorkie,. they are adorable no matter what the size. I think 2.7 is pretty small. Is it still a puppy? Do you think it will get bigger?
