Hi Ky...could it be a hybrid domestic cat such as the Savannah or Bengal Cat. Both are larger than the typical domestic breed of cats, however they have a spotted leopard-like pattern. A savannah will stand approximately 16-22" high at shoulder height.

It would be much much easier to identify if you can post a link to a picture of the cat.
