the store owner says he does not take returns, but he keeps attacking and biting me, do i have a right to take him back with a 14 day guarentee?? what can I tell him??

HI Since it is not a genetic problem with health no you can not return her. Most pets stores will not give a refund. if it is not a life threatening disease or condition.
shiba are in the akita family and can tend to be a little aggressive. There is a technique where you make your hand like a mouth of the dog and pin the puppy to the floor around the neck gently until it calms down. do not release her til she is completely calm a couple of times and she should know you are the boss. Continue to do this until she submits. Also start her on the leash immediately. Shiba are runners and dart out of the house anytime they get the chance. Shiba are great pets once you get them tamed down you did not get a defective pet as these are shiba traits. You just need to let her know you are the boss and you have to get her on a leash and leash trained as soon as possible. they potty train farly easy. Hope this helps. Lammy

well, that's what you get for buying a pup from a pet store. are we talking playful aggression or hard core attack aggression? you should have asked more questions and done more research before you even considered getting a pup. do you know anything about shiba inus?

It seems like you should be able to take him back because if he is this agressive at this youg age he is only going to get worse! I would keep trying until the previous owner gives in or at least is willing to help you!GOOD LUCK!!!!!

you're too imptient to keep dogs, you can't handle a 9 week old dog? you need to get him chew toys to chew, my jack russel is 2 years & he still chews his toys all the time. dogs are pack animals, by attacking you he's trying to tell you that he's the leader of the pack, you've got to tell him that you're the leader IN DOG language, it's very simple really, find out yourself by observing few dogs playing i tried & it worked, good luck

Its a puppy they do that its mouth is the only way to communicate they dont come pre programed you have to train them
