my daughter recently purchased a horse who has had the same name for nine years, and she wants to change his name. Does this matter, and how do you know your horse knows its name?

I have noticed that my cat has been very attached to me ever since I got pregnant. For my cat, the best person in the house has suddenly shifted from my husand to me. Does anyone have similar experience? Or more importantly, does anyone know the more scientific explanations behind this behavior?

I need a medium size dog breed that is good with children, short haired, and very loveable.I am a senior in highschool, and intend on moving out of my fathers house in May.I don't have any children, but I have a 5 year old brother who lives here with my fatherI would like a dog that will be safe with my brother.

Jayde, the two year old pittie I just adopted, has a bum eye. I knew about it going in, the vet knows all about it, but the've a 4 day weekend so I can't ask til monday (there's only one vet I can talk to, all the rest only speak Japanese!)

T-Bone, my 11 month old pittie, does insist on licking the bad eye, and I am thinking that *can't* be good for it.

Is it something to worry about?

If it is, how do I keep him off it without crating them?

I recieved my 3 week old Texan and Concentic on August 28th. 1in. in length. as of now their 2 3/4in. front to back. Heavy look ok i guess. But their scutes, the ones i thought they should have shed by now look almost glued on! I have a 100watt uva/uvb mercury vapor bulb for them about 16in. from their basking area. I also keep their water very clean, they eat twice daily Reptomin and Krill and sometimes meal worms. they naw and eat the crushed coral subsrate in their tank for calcium. I dont know what i could be doing wrong! Ive never seen these type of turtles go through the growing stage so maybe im just trippin! I just want the best for em. Amanda

My wife & I have a cute lil black n' white Cocker Spaniel. She's about 11-12 weeks old now. We're having a hard time training her to go potty outside (meaning letting us know when she needs to go potty). She also bites the crap out of ya, but only us not someone she doesn't know so I guess that's good, right? We keep her in a crate at night or when we leave. We just started putting her outside on a leash & then we'll bring her inside to eat, etc. We don't want her to be a complete outside dog but we want her to respect our furniture & belongings. Any suggestions?

Her eyes get a yellow puss build up. Her second eyelid is also up covering part of her eyes. She also has a buger problem. Her nose gets so plugged with hard bugers she can hardly breathe sometimes. Please let me in on any ideas. She is Sheperd, husky and akita mix. Thanks.

my two year old border collie chases cars while on the lead but at my dads farm which runs along a very busy road and she is in the field of the lead she doesnt bother one bit about the cars
