I have noticed that my cat has been very attached to me ever since I got pregnant. For my cat, the best person in the house has suddenly shifted from my husand to me. Does anyone have similar experience? Or more importantly, does anyone know the more scientific explanations behind this behavior?

Animals have a sense for when something in thier enviornment has changed, such as, some one disappearing, somebosy is hurt or something, and in this case the cat has sensed that your not your usual self so it thinks it's duty is to help and protect you.

I believe that cats are able to sense things that humans cant. My cat, Sophie, is not the sweetest thing in the world but when I am sick or feeling down she is always by my side and loving on me. I have never been pregnant, but I imagine its about the same thing. Just kick back and enjoy it for the next 9 months but beware that after the baby is born your new little friend might not be as excited as you will be. Good Luck with your pregnancy and Happy Holidays...

nicely of direction you're in love inclusive of your doggy, i could be too reason there a superb breed :) yet for a much bigger place for the comparable value i could definitly take the townhouse. i substitute into residing in a small residence a week in the past and that i only moved to a 4 mattress room townhouse because of the fact I certainly have a toddler waiting to return out any time now. you should think of of the toddler, do you choose on your toddler to have a beautidul mattress room , or could you extremely the toddler be around a dogs each and all of the time? i propose its as much as you.. yet you're gunna choose for extra area with all the acccessories having a toddler comes with ( play pen, swing, extreme chair, bassinet, crib, substitute table, fabric dresser, toys, ect..) you're definitly going to choose for extra area.. and for the comparable value you cant circulate incorrect. If the doggy will only be inclusive of your sister atleast you be attentive to it isnt with some stranger and the doggy would be nicely taken care of .. and you will see her while ever you choose for.

I think they sense a change in odor not detectable to humans. My mom's friend has cancer & the kitty has been extra affectionate the past few months, sleeping on the foot of the bed, sitting on her knee, following her from room to room. We can't know what they're thinking but I feel they are aware of changes good or bad.

Mothers smell different to animals. They just sense it. And it makes them protective and nurturing towards them. They will also either be close to and protective of the baby or become a little jealous.

quite interesting, my guess is that hormonal changes may bring about some smell changes. btw, as a human I must say that pregnant women are very cute......
