Her eyes get a yellow puss build up. Her second eyelid is also up covering part of her eyes. She also has a buger problem. Her nose gets so plugged with hard bugers she can hardly breathe sometimes. Please let me in on any ideas. She is Sheperd, husky and akita mix. Thanks.

She has been to the vet and all they did was give me triple antibiotic ointment to put in her eyes. I can't afford another trip to the vet right now. She has been this way for over a year. The vets have done nothing for her. It doesn't affect her activity level or anything like that. Also, she just had seven puppies yesterday. Will they be affected?

As i said, the vets have done nothing, but give me triple antibiotic ointment to put in her eyes, which was ineffective. I am asking advice because the vets did NOT help. Thanks

Miriam D! For your information, I'm not breeding my dog. She is always on her runner in the back yard! I don't need smart @ss remarks from people like you.

See another vet and get a second opinion. If the antibiotic salve is not working, then another antibiotic drug should be tried.
If it was working, I'd tell you that Terramycin is an otc antibiotic for the eyes.

She is sick and needs to see a vet.

Edit: Fer crissake, you're breeding a sick dog? Breeding when you can't afford a vet bill?

Arrrrrrgh!

This sorta thing keeps up I'm gonna be as cranky as GitEm.

Your dog has an infection.... take her to the vet on Monday, or even tomorrow if he is open.. no one here can send you the meds she needs now....
