I been watching my best friends cat for awhile til she gets a place she can have pets. Today her cat got hit by a car how do i tell her?

Talk about a sad situation!
The best way to go about it is to be upfront! Don't skirt around the issue for her to find out later.....
That will make it worse later!!!!

Tell her right away. She needs to know. You were doing her a favor by watching the cat and I am sure you did not intend for it to get hit by a car. She may be mad at first and blame you, but if she routinely let her cat outside the accident could have occurred when she owned the cat.
She may want to bury it or have it cremated.

This is a difficult one...I know if something like this happened to me, I would want my best friend to tell me in person, let me know that the pet died quickly and did not suffer. Then I would appreciate it if she / he would offer to help me bury it or go with me to the vet to have the remains cremated. A shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen to the funny stories about my pet would be very important to me.

U always need to tell the truth no matter what. I would be as kind as I possibly could when telling your friend! Say that her cat is in a better place now! Good luck, toodles!

you should start with a totaly different subject then go slower into the convertation about her cat. When she starts to cry then just hold her and tell her you and her can go to pound or pet store to get her a new cat or kitten (tell her that you will pay, that makes people feel so much better)
