My cat sleeps with me every night except during the winter months when a down comforter is on the bed. He seems to be afraid of it and not like to be on it (the feel, smell, sound of it)? I'm wondering if this is a common thing and any ideas about what to do because I miss him sleeping on the bed!

I had a person tell me once that a dry nose on a cat means that they are sick, or is this just an old wives tale? I dont know if i should take him to the vet or not. Or is it okay and is just because he sleeps alot...Urgh...help please...and thanks.

My cat dragged her bottom on the floor a few times today-never has done that before. I just recently switched her to soft cat food (easier for her to chew, she's 13 yr and has a hurt jaw). I looked at her bottom and it's red and a tad swollen. ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE

I have a male and a female guppy. The female had gotten quite large. She stayed inside a castle (in my tank) for about 24 hrs. When she came out she was skinny. I think she must have laid eggs. If she did, how long until they hatch? and if she didn't lay eggs, what did she do? Help please.

My new roommates brought their two cats along with them when they moved in. Now all four animals (their cats, plus mine and my girlfriend's dogs) are peeing like crazy all over the house! HELP! How do we make them stop?

My dog recently started eating her's and our other dog's poop and it's making her sick and throw up all over the house. Anyone know what to do? I clean the poop out of the yard everyday but she gets some before I can clean it.

We recently adopted two kittens from the same litter. However one is considerably larger than the other, and the smaller one has a crooked jaw. You can tell from looking at him that his face is assymetrical, however it wasn't until observing his weird eating habits that I decided to look at his teeth and noticed his lower jaw is skewed to the right of his upper jaw. By weird I mean while his brother eats right out of the dish, the smaller kitten drops his food on the floor and then eats it, and takes longer to chew. I gave them both a crunchy little cat treat and one had it gone in a second while the little one took forever to chew it. They are only a couple months old and were just removed from the mother so they should have been both nursing til now, but I can't help but wonder why the one with the crooked jaw is so much smaller.

I like to sample rabbit dung..... It is only processed grass after all. However, I've been getting furry toes and whiskers. I'm worried I might have caught Mixxy

We just got a new dog and it is crate trained, but sometimes we have to leave it in for 8 hrs or so, not much longer. Is this as cruel as it feels? True knowledge and helpful concerns prefered!!

I have a 4 month old kitten. He is wild. He sleeps all day exept for the rare hour here and there where he is running around like a madman. Then he stays up all night doing the things he knows he's not supposed to do.
When he is having those madman spells during the day, he climbs up the curtains, tries to climb the walls, gets on tables and counters, knocking things down, etc. I have tried the squirt gun idea which has worked well with previous cats, but he just does it again and again. My last cat was like this at first, but I used to smack him. He learned not to do these things, but this cat has had a hard first 4 months of his life (I found him in the garage and took him in. He must have been abandoned and was savagely attacked by another animal while out there.) and I don't want him to feel unwanted. I really do love this cat.

How do I straighten him out before I have to give him up? (it's not my house and I'm not sure how long they can take this behavior)

We're going home for the holidays and it's a 15 hour drive. I am totally attached to my 7 month old kitten and he's attached to me too (He follows me all around the house, hates to be in any room by himself and cries if he's "misplaced" me for a minutes, etc.)

He's used to driving in cars and he walks on a leash. I take him out to the parks, trails, etc. often. The longest car ride he ever had was 1 hour and all he did was fall asleep in the back seat.

I'd really really hate to be apart from him for 6 whole days.

If I leave him at home, my friend would housesit but - my cat doesnt know her that well, and he'd still be alone a lot more than he's used to. We're going to be staying at my in-laws house and I'm sure he'd be ok there for a week with us there too - but I'm worried about the drive and all...

My Cocker Spaniel "Jack" may be on his last legs. He is my "buddy". Wanted to find an alternative (no not a shot gun) to a vet in the Chicago area. Almost like a dog hospice...Any thoughts?

I know someone who works where cats are kept as pets inside the office. Also, there are at least 10 other cats living under the building. The office business has nothing to do with animals. What do you think?

I adopted my (now) 6 month old kitten from my vets adoption agency around 4 months ago. Since then, she has been an 'only' cat. Yesterday, I went and got a 6 week old, Tonkinese, kitten from my friend (who breeds Tonks and Bengals).
Could people that have been in this situation please give me advice on HOW to introduce my cats?

Also, as my kitten is only 6 weeks old, are there any special foods I might need for her? I live in Melbourne, Australia so please don't comment and say 'go to walmart'... we don't have WalMart here.

I am currently giving both cats Whiskas wet food and Purina One dry food. I am also (trying) to give the 6 week old, some kitten milk but she doesn't seem to drink it... nor does she drink any water!

Also, she hasn't done pee or poop yet since we got her home - how do I try and get her to do something? She didn't do any in the cage that she slept in... before OR after she went to bed.
