If you start experiencing excruiating pain in your joints and your eyes bulge out of your skull and you twist and writhe on the ground, then you've probably caught mixy.
As I grew up on a farm in UK, I've seen how horrible this disease is a thousand times, please don't joke about it.

I think you are more likely to get it from blood sucking insect bites but there actually isn't any evidence to say whether humans can even get it in the first place.
