The best bet in consult with your vet and see if they want to remove it. If you just get the gunk out of it, it will come right back.

Well I would first start with cleaning the food and water bowels daily. Get a low concentration of Benzoyl peroxide in a gel form. Try not to cause further irriation of the area. If it looks more like pustules there may be a bacterial infection that needs systemic antibiotics. This should be done by the veterinarian submitting a culture and sensitivity of the material expressed. Then they can determine the bacteria causing the infection and treat as needed. Then use benzoyl peroxide to prevent recurrence.

i'm a vet tech for an animal hospital ... there is no cure, the only thing u can do is "pop" them .... it's much better to have ur vet do it.
