I'm not sure what their are all about... I mean come on we all know that you have to put them in water and watch them grown... but I want to know how long they live... I looked them up... but all it said was that they would reproduce and all this other stuff... So if they reproduce... do I need to buy a bigger tank... is this going to be a huge project that I should avoid. is it like fish? or what... could someone please help me for experience only. I don't want any references to a web page. if you've had them or have them let me know how it was.... thanks

I have a pomeranian and a rat terrier and usually feed them one time around 4:30-5pm. Is this okay or do they need to eat more than this?

I know a lot of owners let their cats out unsupervised, and even though it may seem ok, i don't feel it is right. I mean, cats are probably the only pets that can roam around the neighborhood, but you can think of the many dangers that occur to cats. In my experience, I have lived in three cities in my life (which is 14 years) and there are cats that wander into other neighbors' yards, driveways, and even into their homes on occasion. So are they allowed to roam freely?

I have an 16 year old cat that's fit and healthy other than arthiritus in her front legs, they are all twisted outwards and she doesn't walk too well...I read that massage might help...What do u think? It works for people so why can't it work for cats too?...I don't want to do more harm than good...

I am looking to upgrade my 29 gallon aquarium in my science classroom to a 55 gallon tank. The current tank is on a 20' long formica countertop with a drawer units beneath, and I would like to put the new setup there too. The whole cabinet system is built out of MDF particle board and seems pretty solid. The roughly 5' long section of this counter where the tank would go is supported by 2 x 3/4 inch MDF uprights and in the center of where the 48" long tank would sit has another 3/4 inch upright beneath it that runs the full depth of the counter. Anyone know if I can trust this to support the 650+ lbs that the tank will likely weigh?

to all who answered my question

My miniature pinscher had 5 puppies two weeks ago and the puppy(missy) we kept from her last set seemed very depressed. Well mom is letting her babysit for her when she is away and she also allows her to lick the puppies. Missy really likes it, but is still nervous about the puppies. She is a good big sister. Mom (Cleo) is now away from the puppies alot and that way Missy gets to investigate. My worries for nothing.

Thanks for all the advice. Next it is to the vet for the spaying.

My husband and I moved from CA to OR two months ago with our two cats, and at least twice a week I've been finding urine and feces outside the litterbox (we have two boxes--one for each cat, which they both appear to use on a regular basis)--on my purse, in the kitchen sink, in carpeted corners of the apartment, etc. This has never happened before. By confining one of the cats we were able to deterimine the culprit. We took him to the vet to rule out a bladder infection; we sprayed all his usual areas with Feliway; we made an effort to spend more time with him; we confined him for a while to one room to re-train him to use his litterbox (which worked for about two days); we confined our other cat to rule out a territorial issue; we put a little bit of dirt in his litterbox to simulate our backyard back in CA...we don't want to have to get rid of the cat, but we're running out of both money and patience. Does anyone have anything to suggest that we haven't tried?

I recently changed my cats food not on purpose we ran out and i had to get brekkies from the local shop instead of go-cat!! she developed diarrhea, I did a little research on the internet and discovered i should with hold food for 24 hrs, then feed rice and chicken they day after, then the same mixed with her cat food, then the next day but her bk to her normal food, well the diarrhea has almost cleared up, still not quite right, and today she vomited not sure if she's over eaten, or i should have kept her the plain food longer!! I am most prob going to take her to vets tomorrow but i was just wonderin if anybody had any ideas!!

I clean it once a day, twice if it needs it. I use the sifting liners and throw out the leftover litter when I get to the solid bag. Can I use the litter left over after the 10th bag is used?

but they always bark horrendously around my horses when arriving at my field, this is driving me mad!!! they get worse when i feed the horses or pick up a headcollar, i find myself continuously shouting at them, the horses are so far very tollerent but at some stage i think they will get to a point having enough which may be fatal, i would'nt like not take them with me as i spend so much time there.

Monday night I took home a (female) 5-week old Black Lab puppy. She is a female and seems to be in good health from the vaccinations/vet book. I know that you shouldn't separate a pup this young from her mother, but she would have been given away elsewhere by her breeders moving to another country and they wouldn't keep her (only her male brother and the parents).

Her name is Rogue btw.

I've one some reading around the web but still have some questions:

1) Is it too young to bother trying to start training her now ? At what age (how many weeks) should I start crate-training and potty training ?

2) She whines a LOT and doesn't seem to take to any of her new toys yet, so also playfully bites a lot (mostly my hand). She is not biting hard and is wagging her tail so I am pretty sure it's just playful, but her teeth are sharp. Any advice?

3) She has no problems eating, I give her some premium Purina Puppy Chow the vet recommended, is this good? Her poop is mostly firm and solid.
