I have looked into corn snakes, yet they eat rodents, which my mother cannot put up with. It would be nice to have a snake which eats crickets or other small insects, or even a herbivorous reptile (if they exist). I have little to no fear of snakes, would like a snake that is not costly or difficult to care for (relative to other snakes). I would like a sizeable one, but not too big, like the size of a corn snake. Can a corn snake live off of crickets? I hope it would enjoy being handled, because I would want to handle it frequently. Help! I don't know much, but I know enough. Could someone help me with a breed that would suit me?

I bought a betta earlier this year. I bought a one-gallon tank from WalMart that came with a water filtration system. I read that betta's only need one-gallon of water, so this seemed ideal for them.

I went to the fish store to pick one out. They all were in tiny, plastic bowls that had barely any water in them. They all looked like they were dying. I did not want to get one of those since they were so unhealthy, but my mother told me to save one of their lives.

I took it home, put it in the tank, and after a few days to a week, he was looking beautiful! He seemed very happy!

Now, he is not happy. His colors are very pale and his fins don't look so great. I don't know what the problem is. I take care of mine the same way my sister does, and hers is very healthy, but mine is not.

Keep in mind, I have no job and can't buy an expensive aquarium for him that regulates temperature! We're not all rich!

How can I help him be happy with his current living conditions!?

I just wanted to know opinions about what the world thinks of dog racing. I entered my dachshund in a race last year and we thought it was fun but I've also heard some negative things about it.

She pees for revenge. If ever we go away for the weekend, she'll be dead happy when we get back then 2 days later she'll pee on my clothes, slippers or bed. If we have a lot of people around the cat'll pee yet again on my stuff and a couple of days later.
Then there are pees that I don't see any reason for. She has a thing for bath mats and bags, we cannot leave them on the floor, once she peed on a friend's bag, it was sooo embarrassing! She hasn't got a urinary problem cos it's like once a month, or less or more, depends on whose been round. I just know she hates too many people coming round or us going away. She also, more rarely, will attack me when I stroke her, when she was purring just before, tho not all the time. I am always the target here! No, sometimes she has a go at my daughter, but never at my BF. What can I do? She's nearly 10 and getting worse as she gets older. Feliway doesn't help.

What do you think of this: http://www.circuses.com/unwilling.asp?
Tell me what you think only if you read this article. Please read the other pages as well. This must stop!!! It makes me cry to see this.

Last night on Spike, they showed a program about animal cruelty. When you watch this, it looks like crazy insane animals have gone wild, but then they tell you what is behind this.

In particular, it is extremely sad to see elephants who weigh about 3000 pounds each getting hit, shocked and bullied by humans. They are in chains at all times except when performing.

I would like to talk about an elephant called Janet. She had 5 children and a female adult on her for a family fun ride, but then she decided she had enough and charged out of the circus, almost killing her trainer and injuring many others.

What kills me is that the government does almost nothing about this unhumane act. To help this stop help alert others, and donate at this website https://ebiz.isiservices.com/peta-e/peta/donation.asp?section_code=I03A2B0A

My daughter has two indoor cats. First, I'll tell you what she has tried. The problem is only at night when they have the roam of the house. She has tried cat ordor spray, putting the scratch posts and tree in the living room. Covering the couch and chairs.

What she won't do is declaw, cover the couch with foil, put them in another room because she has to put her two dogs in other rooms. Won't put them in the garage.

I told her they are bored being left all day, then at night they take the opportunity when the dogs are in other rooms to go to it.

Any ideas? What would you do?
