it may sound gross, and the cat will NOT LIKE IT AT ALL!!!!! but to keep it from starving, there is a special kind of contraption u can get at the vet or the store. it is a long tube ustick down their throats and into their stomachs (i PROMISE this is not torture this is to keep ur cat alive) on the other end is a thingy (they kinda look like the kind they have at the dr.'s only no needle) there is a special kind of milk 4 cats u can get at wal-mart. u fill the the dr's tool think with it and u stick the long skinny tube into the cats stomach SLOWLY puch the milk down. (ask the vet how much milk u put in the dr lookin thingy and how u no it's in ur cat's stomach.) ur cat may eat friskie's tuna or sum kind of treat.

That's really strange.....I would call the vet and ask questions as to why he thinkgs that she is okay. All the dead cats I've seen looked healthy. My sisters cat didn't eat anything but very specific items for a month. As a result of that she got skinny. Hair loss and skinny is probably nutrition related in your cats case. Usually hairloss is..... After a while she got so hungry that she finally ate more. This happend about a few weeks after she gave birth. I hope your cat will be okay. :"( I'm think she will be. Definately give the vet a call and express your concerns. A pet is not just a pet........it's a friend. Treat the issue as such.

How could your vet say she is fine. The symptoms sound very bad.
You need another opinion and some tests done.
I had to get another opinion because the vet I had seemed uninterested because she was 14 yrs. I did have to have her put down, but at least I knew what was wrong and tried to do everything for her. I now have a new vet.

Try a vet that specializes in cats and cat diseases...just like with humans, when in doubt get a second opinion...I did and my cat turned out to be ok but maybe a vet schooled in just cats may catch something that a general vet does not know about...good luck to you and your kitty!

Take her to a different vet and get a second opinion. She is losing massive amounts of weight, not eating, and losing her fur. SOMETHING is wrong with her. There are a few things that cats are prone to that cause wasting, loss of appetite and crying out... have her checked for worms, feline luekemia, and kidney problems, and work from there. You know your cat is sick, now make your vet understand it.Maybe they are just not familiar enough with your cat to understand how bad off she is.

Ekk! That doesn't sound really good about the kitty, but it could have possibly eaten something bad. The age of the kitty could also make a difference. I would seek a different vets advice if it is a really big concern to you.

See a vet , yes. However, have you tried giving her baby food? I know most baby meats like chicken and turkey do not have onion powder.....but check the label. Don't you have an emergency vet clinic ?

then you need a different Vet, if an animal is going through what you're describing and the Vet says it's OK, the Vet is either a quack ( no pun intended) or is not seeing the whole picture.........

I would either get a second opinion or take your cat back to your vet for further tests. Sounds like bloodwork needs to be done. Could be fiv/leukemia, liver/kidney, parasites etc. Please get your cat medical attention, it doesn't sound good
