If it's something that's just started recently, it's quite likely to be the fireworks scaring her. They have started going off where I live and one of my dogs is really distressed by them. I would check for anything medical first, as has been suggested, but if it is just stress, you can get plug in pheramone diffusers (available in most online pet shops or from vets) which help to calm animals down. I got a CD for my dog too, to gently get her used to fireworky noises - I'm not sure if that would work with a cat, but keeping some kind of background noise going on to muffle the bangs may help. If she is hiding away when you give her attention, try and give her a bit of space, have some treats handy and leave her to come to you until you've found out what the problem is, as pursuing the matter might add to it. Hope this helps!

Your cat may be in some kind of pain.Go to the vet and tell him whats happened. I had a cat a few years ago that acted in a similar way , turned out she had an abscess from an untreated scratch .Any animal that is jerking away from its owner should be seen by a vet. I would go as soon as possible as it could be serious and the cat might need an antibiotic. Hope she is OK , I really dont think it is just stress.

Maybe there was something that you did that reminded her of a bad experience that she had. When you first got her she was probably a little afraid too. Just do the same thing that you did to make her trust you then and make her trust you now. For example, try giving her something she really likes and have her know it's from you. Good luck!

It's probably down to the fireworks, I hate this time of year. Do your best to keep her warm and make her feel secure. If you're concerned in any way that she may be in pain, take her to the vet without delay.

she got scared .Cats love silence because they are great hunters.they also love to hide.Find her a dark hidding spot in the house and try to let her calm down.
