My daughter has two indoor cats. First, I'll tell you what she has tried. The problem is only at night when they have the roam of the house. She has tried cat ordor spray, putting the scratch posts and tree in the living room. Covering the couch and chairs.

What she won't do is declaw, cover the couch with foil, put them in another room because she has to put her two dogs in other rooms. Won't put them in the garage.

I told her they are bored being left all day, then at night they take the opportunity when the dogs are in other rooms to go to it.

Any ideas? What would you do?

Maybe you could get a cat play set...tho I gotta say that you could easily make one with wood, nails and carpet. If they have something to play on like that they are not as bored. My kittens have been playing with the box that came with the Christmas tree I bought recently. The love it so I keep it inside.

These poor cats are bored out of their minds. Who on earth can have a full time job and keep 2 dogs and 2 indoor cats. These pets are not getting the attention they need and that is why their behaviour is bad. They need more to do and more attention.

Definitely pay more attention to them but I have heard that if you put double sided tape on furniture where a cat scratches then it will stop, I have not tried it but it couldn't hurt.

i have seen in pet magizines then have rubber covers that slide over a cats nails for this reason..i dont know how well they will stay on but always an option...you can also use reg nail cutters to cut the cats nails down...and lastly....if you are the parent then why dont you put your foot down and tell her to fix the problem or the cats are going out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I bathe the female one first because she doesn't warfare and doesn't ideas it as a lot, yet she doesn't like it. after I commence bathing the male, he receives annoyed, cries out loud and struggles the completed time. quite a lot all cats hate water.
