I'm presenting a speech on this subject and I believe that the majority of Americans do feed their pets cheap "grocery store" brands but it would be helpful to have some type of source stating this. If anyone knows of any websites or books which state that or anything closely related, it would be very helpful for my speech ;) Thanks I appreciate it.

My cat has a growth that is continuously getting larger, she is in no pain but I cannot afford the costs of a vet and want to put her down myself, humanely and with out shooting her.

I have three cats... more like kittens, acctually. Jin'do, Kitsa, and Bobo. They all like to hop this gate I have that is supposed to keep them in here, and also they like to take the 'leap of faith' off of the banister of my room. I live on the only room on the 2nd story of my house, and my father is allergic to cats. These guys are my companions, and if I can't keep them up here, my dad will get rid of them. :(

Can anyone help?

I'm new to owning fish and I have no idea what I'm doing! We bought a 5 gallon tank a few days ago. We rinsed it out, wiped it down, filled it with already rinsed gravel and decorations and about 4.5 gallons of distilled water with a dose of stress coat. Then, yesterday, which was 24 hours after setting up tank, we added one freshwater plant and two glowlight tetras. I did exactly what the fish store guy told me to do and I planted first, and then put the plastic bag with the fish in the tank for 15 to 20 minutes before releasing. After researching online I did note that I made one error in that I dumped the bag into the tank after the 20 minutes instead of netting my fish out of the bag so I did get fish store water into my tank. But, with that said, the test strip still says it's at ideal condition this morning but one of the fish has died. Is this just part of the cycling process or a stressed fish? What's my next step? I only have one fish in this tank with a plant. Do I add more?

I have a lovely big hutch for my bunnies, the upstairs is 4'4" x 18" and I need to find a cover for this part. I do not want the flimsy canvas sort sold in Pets R Us, I want a waterproof/windproof cover, preferably with some kind of insulation, to keep my adorable bunnies dry and warm in the winter weather to come. Anyone know anywhere (UK)?

Do some cats eat frogs? Or does eating frogs make them froth at the mouth, or make them sick somehow?

I need help tipping 10 week old Collie pup's ears. Glue is easy, then
there is the tape/brace method. Which yields best results? The purpose of bracing is to help the 'ear set', but I'm not sure if this
is necessary. Can anyone help?

...cashiews and pastachios,to be exact. Also chocolate. In reality , anything that I eat..he knows it's safe to eat . When I prepare his food he will come to me and smell my beath to see if thats what I am having. He's only 4 years old but understands both English ans spanish and will play until I am exhausted. He walks around with more confidence than John Wayne and has more charisma than Elvis Presley. His heart is as big as Texas and has nothing but love for anybody he meets but is it bad (health wise) for a boy in a D.O.G. costume to eat nuts and chocolate ? He's actually a Rottweiler-Shepard mix and has eaten these things as well as pizza, fruit...etc,all his life. People have said that dogs can't digest nuts and onions but he does just fine. I've heard that chocolate will kill a dog(after the fact) but Frank never even played dead. So if there is any real evidence,,I'd like to hear it before I head to the kitchen. He says he wants Rocky Road ???????????

I have a female guinea pig and while handling her on a white towel one day, recently, I noticed that her urine was reddish orange. I am concerned, but I don't want to take her to the vet if this is normal. Could she be in heat? Am I giving her too many carrots? Could she have a kidney stone from all of the spinach I was feeding her before? These are the questions I have been pondering... if anyone has had this experience, let me know!

I just got a new Yellow Lab and he sleeps a lot. He also dreams or appears to dream...Is this normal. We are so concerned that he has been abused. We have his first vet appointment next week...but I am so concerned now. We did get him from a breeder that seemed to be okay. Any advice sure appreciated. Any thing that you think I should know about this breed would sure be appreciated. Thanks in advance...

Do dogs, or other animals, think like we do? When someone ask us a qn, we think, in our own language.. and give them a reply. So do animals do that too?.. Think in their own "language".. and subsequently, bark it out.. just like what we see in cartoons??

Today my cat ran away. She wont come back. I have found her, but she doesn't want to come home with me. She seems to be spooked by neighbour dogs. She even looks agresive. She is about 5 weeks old,so she isn't really big,but is not a citten. I have tried to approach slowly with food, but id doesn't work. She runs away, and meows at me with a terrified look. Please help me get her home, this kitty is very dear to me.
